Nuron saw the allied covenant start their run across the field where he and the grunts went by the trees, "Say watch my back again we got allies following us up, I am going to make sure their is no threats nearby them." ((LF you can tell me weather I will see anyone following behind them or if I see sniper(s).)) he said to the grunts, they again acknowledged and took defence postions behind trees that were around the tree that Nuron had decided to climb up to see over the canopy of the main forest floor. ((BTW what kind of forest is this young growth? Old? Tall? Low? Thick? cause depending I may be no use in a tree in the middle of forest.))

Well the brush i am using is relatively thick i think.Got sa few trees in it and as big amount of brush.Theres a good amount of brush neartby.The trees are a good size.And because this is a small colony and it has been untouched for millions or maybe billions of years up until around somewhere between 20-1 years ago id have to say the forest is pretty thick.But the forest around the town in a 1 mile radius would be lessened due to the cutting down of trees.So thats what it pretty much is.Its a good amount here but i guess if you went in farther the thickness would be immense...))

Huon knelt down and looked into the brush and he loaded his rifle to see a jackal on patrol.Then he saw 2 grunts come out and sit against a tree while a grunt just talked into a communicator.Huon pulled out his rifle as soon as he stopped talking.Then he shot the jackal and then 2 marines with smg's were able to kill the grunts before they got away.The 2 marines got up and took the bodies into a clearing nearby and took thier weapons and the jackal shield.They added the jackal shield to a side and then found another shield on the body.Maybe a extra if the other one slipped off and was lost.Although they put them on tight there is still a chance of it falling.They made a small wall witha fireport using 3.Now The marine swere entrenched.Then a few grunts and elites were near.The mariens opened fire and killed the grunt.He seemed to be holding the covenant machine gun.The elite ducked down and started firing into the brush.Lighting several branches that were put out.A marine was struck in the leg and was put on a bed of leaves.The elite was dispatched promptly by a grenade.Then the marines took the covena t machine gun and put it by the fireport and assigned the marine with the injured leg to hold thier.Sine it was well protected and the operator didnt move much.The marines counted thier large covenat arsenal.

There are 11 plasma rifles,26 plasma pistols and around 22 plasma grenades.They put them equally ton the marines and then the marines dropped most of thier original gear.Like food,clothes and a damaged radio.Along with a few other things.And some of thier weapons were out of ammo so they put the guns into the stream and covered them with mud.The stream nearby made a perfect fallback position as thier was a large rockface with a larger rock covering the right and left flanks.So they sent a marine to put a shield there by a opening in the rocks.Then he stored a few cluips of ammo in it.Also the rocks made a small pathway up with several areas of cover.Other than that the other side of the bank was a clearing of sand that the marines could have used to conceal a minefield.The area was a tactical advantage and might be needed soon.But on the flipside the covenant were approaching from the side with the rock area on it.So the covenant could take and hgold it.Maybe even put thier form of the human mortar on it.Which basically is the same shape as the human mortar but sleeker and like all covenan weapons it is purple.The ammo used is basically a plasma grenade on steroids.It does more damage and has a large area of effect.This mixed with the forest nearby could spell hell for the marines as a well placed round could light firte to the forest and burn the marines alive.But huon had a plan for that as well.There was a smaller rock with some stones that were large and on top if a plateau like boulder.The marines could use this as a sniper post.It was facing a crack int he wall which a sniper even a inexperianced one could put a round clean through the a elites head.This would be a advantage.Also the marines had some metal propped near the wall so if a covie sniper tpok that point the metal would offer stable protection.

Anyways to huon and the marines it seemed to him he covenant were coming both ways.Or 5 groups of covies were scouting out the area.Bt huon knew either way they would eventually fidn that thier patrols arent returning and the comms are dead.And then maybe a ghost or maybe even a wraith or a specter would be sent in.And with all the rockets depleted it wouldnt look good.Huon had 3 procedures to do in 3 different situatiosn.

If a large covenant squad came the marines would fall back and take the shields and the mg with them and go to the rock area.There they'd wait for help.

If a covenant vehicle like a specter came then they would throw off 8 plasma grenades while the other 2 marines would shoot and hope to get in a luckky shot.But if it was a wraith then they should all start to throw plasma grenades.

If a human squad came by then they would stop them and have them carry weaponry.And one marine in the squad would hold all 9 shields in hsi pack.Then once they get to the secret structure then they would fortify the main entrance and hold off all covenant.

(Most of this post is a detailed weapons and fallback plan and info.So we are sure of possible options.)

Ten threw his hands up as the grenade exploded, killing the camoflauged Elites. "OK, let's move." He said, bending down he picked up the one functional plasma rifle, and lead the squad further into the forest.

Shxzalor and the others made it through the pass quickly, and soon moved into the forest, ahead of Ten and the others. He looked around and then pointed in one direction, "We can rendevous with the ODST and and Ten where Sierra squad is set up. The odd group moved into the forest, they and Ten both emerged from the forest in sight of the barricade at the same time.

Huon sighted ten and the ODST's and all the marines stood up.Huon instructed to have each marine take 2 shields.They had 11 at the barricade and so huon stuck one into his.He hoped if the covena t attack then they'd have some immdeiate cover.Then he instructed them to leave most of the plasma pistols.Each marine put 2 plasma rifles in thier pack along withn 3 grenades per person.Then they put most of the opther supplies near a tree and covered them.Huon stepped down from the brush and said "Boy im glad to sdee you sir!"

(Sorry I haven't been on in awhile, a lot of stuff happend. No need to recap, I already read most of it.)

Judicator took one last scan on the streets, then signaled the Covenant troops to follow him. Quietly making their way to the lower level, they stopped. Judicator moved quickly across the street, followed by a Jackal. They continued this way until everyone had crossed the street. Now they moved slowly into an alleyway and they were ready if anything were to pop out. Nothing did, so they quietly moved along the side of a building. "Do you see anything brother?" An Elite whispered. "It's slightly quiet brother, but these Demon's know a thing or two about fighting." The Elite nodded, and they continued silently along the buildings.

"God job Huon, I didn't think you would make it." Ten said, "And you have all of Sierra squad." He looked and saw Shxzalor and the others coming toward them as well. "Davaran, Shxzalor, Keroth...whoever you are." He said to Tekka. "We need to set up in this barricade. Were going to ambush the Covenant front, then run back to the installation. We don't know if we can access it yet, so this is our point right now, we need to regroup." Ten got to work, "Ok, you two there, Shxzalor, Tekke, active camo. Give them lots of grenades, Shxzalor into the trees...." Soon everyone was set up in the barricade. (Just post where you want to be.)

Ten held up a strange Covenant device from the stash, "Someone tell me what this is." He said, turning it over. Shxzalor came up behind him, "It's a Covenant proximity, Ion Charge. About five times the explosive power of a plasma grenade. I will set the three of them up." He said, running to some trees about fifty feet away, he placed them spread apart on different trunks, where they endgades actice camo. He came back holding all three trigger devices. "Red button twice, blue once. It will set them off. I reccomend you set them all of at once."

"Ok. Everyone hear that?" Ten activated his comm. "Spartan 116." He sent her the nav point to where they were. "Follow the Nav point through the forest, were in a barricade made by our marines." They now had a squad of marines and a squad of ODST.

Axon: Ten, the Covenant have entered the forest."

Ten spoke into his comm, "OK people, get ready...here they come."

The marines set up the plasma shields once more and resetup the covenant MG in a large tree.The gunner sat up in the tree and covered the area in branches and the like.Then the marines gave some of the plasma weapons to the elites,ODST's and the spartans.Then the ODST's took up position near some rocks.The rocks made good cover and they were given a plasma shield to cover one position.Then the spartans went into the brush and soon the perimeter was set.The charges had also been set.

The plan huon thought up was that the ODST's in the rocky place could provide a large area of firing and the brush would keep the main force defended.Also the MG in the tree had a suffecient area to move around in.He could look up for banshees and down for the enemy.So if the covenant put themselves in a square of jackals with larger tower shields as marines called them as they were taller and a little bit wider.The covenant gave them to the jackal commanders.They could make a considerable defensive perimeter.But on the flip side of the barricade there was a hole designed for elites which opened right into the jackals head.So a skilled sniper could kill the jacakl and the elite in a matter of seconds.Also the shield was of a heavier weight and sometimes stressed jackal;s would fall and open up a area.But the MG in the tree could shoot down on them and get them stuck.Also he was given 6 plasma grenades just incase.So if they did do something like that then he'd drop a grenade down and kill them from the inside.Then 3 marines would take the shields,weapons and bodies and put the shields in some places for more protection and the weapons would be put in either of the 2 piles.(Ones by the ODSTs and the other in the brush)Then the bodies would be put into a area farther away where the covenant might get confused of where the humans are.

Good.Huon held up his assault rifle to the trees and put his finger on the trigger.He looked around hoping to see a enemy soldier.

Ten looked down the side of his Battle Rifle. There was a rustling in the bushes, and a Grunt waddled out, looking around. He looked through his scope, and dropped it with one burst. Then more Covneant burst through the leaves and brush. "Hi guys."

As the covenant emerged from the trees Atkins opened fire upon them he was able to get a headshot on one of the jackals their shields were more powerful then he had hoped he shot one's arm making it tumble back Atkins saw the blood was coming from what was left of his arm. It began to run giving Atkins a clear shot at it's unguarded side and he blew the creature away. "One down a million to go," He thought to himself
