What is bigger...Your mind or the Universe?

Hmmmm physical part?.....Well I see the brain as more a receptor, not the generator of (all) thoughts...Of course the brain has many other functions like storing memories..etc.

I'm bumping this thread because it's interesting.

I think right now, at this point in time, the Universe is bigger. The Universe is huge.. Endless. I think that we do not yet understand the full capacity of our brains. I think that as years and years go by, we will slowly develop and use our brains to their full potential. Also, there is no limit to the imagination. Or is there a limit? Is the limit only what we already know? What we have heard about or seen? I think our minds are capable of so much more.

My mind might be able to imagine something bigger than the Universe (not sure..probably) and I certainly know an infinite amount of numbers higher than all atoms of the universe together, but I wouldn't say my mind is "bigger" than the universe..for one since it is part of this Universe, isn't it?

I believe they are about the same size. The universe is limitless, and so is how much you can learn. One needs only to look at people like Thomas Jefferson, Leonardo Da vinci, and other multitalented men and women.

that is not proof for the univers is perceived through different eyes and through different people.... the mind his what creats thought and all thoughs are limitless... just think of when you have one idea that moves to another and that line continues to the end... the mind is bigger because it creates the univers itself. Ill use a concept one of my top teachers use, How do you know your alive? How do you know im actualy here? Those are the most imposible awnsers in the world to awnser because no one can ever back up proof to say that thay are real. their for the mind is greater because..... lets just say each to their own...lol

Anyways, I am still not sure how to compare a "mind" with a "universe", I didn't even know that a "mind" did occupy space....

Yup, I think this questions is not very well defined. We first need to define what means to say that a mind is smaller or bigger than something.

Its basicaly the level of which one can comprehend to certen extenses... thats what it means...lol

The mind cannot perceive dimensions outside of the four we are accustomed to. Thus, the universe is larger.

The universe is bigger than the mind no matter what. The demensions you havent seen and things you did not see out of this earth that you have never left is out there and mind carries wonders and thoughts of many things. If you go through the whole demensions and universe, it will increase with a greater mind but the universe remains more bigger than youre mind.

Your mind of course...........what can hold all it's thoughts.
