I didn't mean any offense. If anything, I was agreeing with you. I said myself that I direly underestimated them.
Oh...I didn't see any offense and I didn't want to sound offended or offensive myself. It just seamed so that you thought I would have some real problems with you cutting down the number of my Beast Riders - and this is not the case. 😉

Well, being the debater you are, I didn't think it would hamper you any. Which is why I suggested it.
Alright, claim on Trandosha.
Trandosha (Which is bloody hard to find out about) I'm assuming is a mostly tropical planet, since the lizardlike denizens are probably rather cold blooded, or at least descended from cold blooded ancestors. The base itself will be hidden in the dense forest, in a series of trenches, tunnels, and pillboxes that form a loose square formation in a half kilometer area. There are a total of seven small pillboxes and one large on in the center. The smaller ones are equipped with e-webs and are resistant to heavy fire. The larger pillbox mounts a turbolaser turret of decent size, able to loose two small turbolaser beams at a rate of thirty blasts a minute (This is a reduced turbolaser firing rate due to the less efficient but smaller cooling system rigged below the pillbox.) The perimeter is lined with tripwires and small mines and explosives, all expertly hidden, and a good portion of the troopers (say, forty) are in the trees and foliage to provide a sniper and scout role. All of the stormtroopers are wearing camouflage blast armor, much like the Clone Troopers on Kashyyk in ROTS. Also, the sergeant in the main bunker is armed with a flamethrower and won't hesitate to use it once backed into a corner.
Your team lands in a clearing about two miles south of the base, and initially has only the intel that the enemy base is in the area and the approximate numbers and possible armaments.

i'd like to attack Wayland.(on the map Yavin IV isn't listed specifically, but that's just because it's a moon of Yavin on the map, correct?)
Alright, so you're attacking Wayland. Now, I haven't read the Thrawn trilogy, so bear with me if this description is a bit off.
In order to secure the planet Wayland, you must take a tower held by storm troopers. This particular tower has an umbrella shield generator within it, and must be neutralized if your forces are expected to make use of the planet as a stepping stone.
The tower is relatively small, not on par with some Coruscanti skyscraper; it is a mere five stories, plain but sturdy duracrete, with durasteel support beams. The transparisteel viewports and windows have been broken out by the troopers to deploy various weapons. In particular, the troopers have a missile launcher on the second floor (on the main entrance side of the building, the only clear place it is accessible. This missile launcher delivers a medium sized concussion missile with minor tracking features; essentially, a smart bomb-missile. The storm troopers require a team of fifteen to effectively use this device, and it occupies a considerable balcony on the second floor. There are about ten missiles stocked up and one already loaded)
There are two e-webs on the ground level, both covering opposite arcs on the entrance side corners, providing the troopers with over 90 degrees of coverage. Various windows for the four bottom floors have carbiners, marksman, and even Imperial grenadiers manning them. The fifth floor is open and the troopers have a mortar set up and an elevated swivel turret with an anti-tank turbolaser on it. This top floor alone requires twenty troopers to man the artillery devices.
The sides and the rear of the building are on a cliff, making encircling the tower impossible on foot. The front is mined for about quarter a mile in a sporadic formation.
Your forces, because of the umbrella-like shield, must land five miles from the main entrance. On foot, you must progress to the tower and then enact your plan. There is minimal cover in the form of a few crashed gunships that landed just short of the minefield.
Yeah, why make it easy when it can be hard right??
Well I have a 10% troop bonus because of my last fight right? So that will mean more droids, more Dark Jedi and more desert mercanaries.
And they are all going to be here, preforming a very important part in the battle.
Obi Wan has 1650 troops under his control, they are desert mercanaries armed with god knows what kinds of weapons. They are not going to be a very effective army, but they are going to be a fighting force that can possibly do a shit load of damage against the enemy. They are also going to be batallion 5, also known as operation human shield. The rest will be batalion one with the operation name get behind the desert folks. Seriously all Southpark aside that is the plan. We won't know where the enemy is from the start which just sucks for us. What we do know however is that Jedi can sense mines so the initial advance will be slow into the direction that the two Sith and the one Jedi think they have to go. They will lead the attack at first, constantly using the force to try and find people. Bastila is probably going to be really good with this because of her battle meditation. Afterall battle meditation is influencing the minds and hearts of everybody on the battle field. She would have to be able to find those guys otherwise she couldn't influence them. Now once either one of them starts detecting mines or people the advance will stop.
Problem is that this is a large force and the defense has plenty of weapons to keep us away from them for a long time. The trick here is confusing the smaller pillboxes the E-webs won't be able to fire in every direction at the same time, so we are going to have to take advantage of that. But first things first getting over the mines. Now I know Jedi can detect mines and traps (LOE - Anakin detects the mines when running towards a Clone trooper in a mine field). But how many can they detect and how far away, this is going to take a lot of time if they can even do it. And they can't just keep on standing there they might get noticed. So this is when the shit starts. The Dark Jedi will have to go up in the tree's, jumping from tree to tree to tree to tree. Staying high up in the air. Once they are all in tree's the shit will start. Now in the tree's its going to be hard to move so they will get a few minutes to move forward and get into better positions before the minefield will be destroyed.
After a few minutes (15 or so) the droids will start firing at the minefield, like I explained in my previous post, the droids are probably going to have very heavy but fast weapons because they should be able to kill Jedi. Their shields are going to be great too but thats not really important at this time. At the same time the desert mercenaries should also be firing at the minefield in front of them as far as possible. Now a droid like the one the Star Forge produced is easily going to be able to fire at least a few hundred meters. Effectively destroying most of the mine field. However this will have alerted everybody to their presence, and this is when the shit hits the fan. At this time Bastila will already have started her battle meditation. But because this is a dangerous area I’m placing Obi Wan and 5 of Bastila her Dark Jedi near her. She needs to be protected, effectively placing one general out of commission. But protecting Bastila is damn important and it has to be done, and Obi Wan is the only I trust enough to do this.
The storm troopers are hiding and will be careful with what they are doing, snipers and god knows what else. The droids will not be in any danger from them at first but the desert mercenaries will suffer some heavy casualty's, the Jedi however will not be able to take out the Troopers at this time, they have to take care of the E-Webs. Jumping down from the tree's they should destroy the four border pillboxes and do it fast. It shouldn't be to much of a problem. Once those things are down (it shouldn't take more then 2 to 5 Sith a pillbox) the rest of the Dark Jedi following Bastila can jump down from the tree's at the storm troopers they have found. I'm expecting heavy casualty's in Obi Wan his forces at this time. Possibly around the 100 if they are unlucky and stupid (they are out of there element after all) they could have more. Maybe even nearing the two hundred which would suck for them.
Now comes the biggest problem of all, the Dark Jedi are obviously no longer able to use the tree's to hide, nobody is stupid enough to fall for the same trick twice. So now we have a huge and powerful weapon aiming and possibly already firing at the desert mercenaries and droids and Dark Jedi. Who are going to be out of its reach but that doesn't matter.
This is also the time the forces split up in groups of four. Running back at first and then slowly encircling the enemy. Bastila and Obi Wan with the Dark Jedi will still where they are. The enemy's its morale is going to be low at this time because four pillboxes are already destroyed and a bunch of storm troopers have died. Something like that can't be good for morale especially not when Battle Meditation is affecting you. Not to mention that the sneak attack accompanied by an heavy assault at the front is going to be scary without battle meditation.
Now once the troops have encircled the last pillbox and are still far out of range they will have to form ranks. Obi Wan his remaining 1400 soldiers will lead the attack of each group. Charging towards the cannon, followed at a reasonable distance by the Jedi and the Droids. The casualty's amongst the desert mercenaries are going to be enormous but its something that will just have to happen. They are nothing more then cannon fodder in this situation. Now the Cannon can fire a lot and fast but once the speed gets into my forces they will reach the cannon. I'm estimating between the 200 and the 1000 dead mercenaries. Once we have reached the cannon its just a matter of getting in. Malak first. Followed by Dark Jedi and droids. Again the mercenaries last. They are not warriors nor an army. Their lives will bring me victory however so I don't care. Once inside its a brutal slaughter. No storm trooper will stand against those droids and Malak add Dark Jedi and there lives are forfeit. They will die faster then most people can say "BAGOWEDASH" Besides at this point they are going to be shitting their pants. Morale will be low, Battle Meditation makes the worst of generals win against the greatest of generals. In this case you have a reasonable general against a stupid commander. Although at a disadvantage because of position Malak really shouldn’t be able to lose this battle.
All in all this battle is going to be one of a initial surprise and quickly taking out the four pillboxes with minimal forces and using heavy weapons to take out the traps and the mines. Creating confusion and fear. At this time, my forces who aren't split up because I didn't have enough generals to lead them safely to the minefields will retreat regroup and attack from several places. Its going to cost a lot of lives, but I don't see it failing.
Now please tell me if I understood your setup of the base correct because I’m not quite sure on that 😛 If I didn’t just tell me that instead of debating individual parts of my post and I’ll change the entire damn battle according to it.
