Secondly, I don't define the word but what's insulting to me may not be insulting to someone else and vice versa.
Kharmadog got upset when I used a humourous analogy of Captain Planet. I can do no right in the eyes of some people on this forum, so the day I care about it, the day you'll start being reasonable.

First off, A real Ghost Hunter never fakes evidence. They give what they have and if its questionable then its not used, or they go back and find out if they can disprove the questionable. Lana's art site is art. Ghost Hunting is not an art class, and its not "lets see who can photo shop an entity into this pic"
secondly, How can you sit there and say I haven't been successful? Have you ever been on a Ghost hunt? Have you ever sat and waited for four hours, Its a time consuming but its worth it. If I haven't been successful answer me this. So far I have done Three EVP recordings on 4 different hunts, Out of those three I have caught ghost voices. You cant tell me they weren't ghost voices because we had one person ask questions, while everyone else sat silent and recorded. Also, I have many pictures. I couldn't post them all for the simple fact after they got developed my mom tacks them off the camera card so there is more room for the next hunt. In a sequence of photos, the first pic showed no orbs. the pic after that had over 42 orbs. We had the one member play the piano. When she wasn't playing no orbs were present as she played they began to appear. (this makes me think their is something in the music that attracts them). Lots of people have captured fascinating evidence, and its easy to tell when something is fake or photoshoped. Mine however were not.

Well, whether they intentionally fake it or whether they capture something they believe to be paranormal material, it still isn't conclusive proof that ghosts exist. It's just reaffirming their belief.

When I say you aren't successful I mean in the sense of proving paranormal existance. Even Spelljammer admits this.
Personally? The things I've seen over many years do not lead me to believe ghosts are real. I'm not saying they aren't, not saying they are. Just that there's not proof either way.

The thing is, that's something completely unrelated to the forum between me and somebody I know in person. You nor anyone else besides him, has any right using it nor do you understand what it means. No because it's not a neutral insult is it? It's not you making an off the cuff remark like saying "You're being an idiot". It's you making the mental decision to involve yourself in something that doesn't concern you. So while I can take it lighter than I would if you meant it offensively, the very fact that you chose to interject yourself where you have no right, is offensive to me. You made the personal decision if that's the case.
