Agree, we don't see the wind but it exists.

Everything that exists is the body of God and the only consciousness that actually exists is Buddha consciousness or the consciousness of God. There is nothing else. We are like the cells of this being, most of us ignorant that we are actually God and we have this huge consciousness that is everything. We live the life of a cell but we don't have to. We can be God and claim our true consciousness if we want to. You are God. God is named –YOUR NAME- and the best person you know and the worst person you know as well as your cat, a worm and everything.

That is true. The painter is not the painting, but the essence of the painter is in the painting. We are all connected to God and cannot be anything else but connected.

That reminds me of a remark by the British philosopher Alan Watts (1915-73):

There is no separate "you" to get something out of the universe... As the ocean "waves" so the universe "peoples"... What we therefore see as "death," empty space(i.e unversal consciousness)is only the trough between the crests of this endless waving ocean of life.

I love that quote. Also, I have the Wave analogy on my wall. This is it.

THE ETERNITY OF LIFE

Buddhism teaches that life is eternal. It had no beginning and will have no end. Everything in the entire universe, including ourselves, is a purely temporary manifestation of life itself. This essential "oneness" of all things is the true "entity" of life. Becoming aware of this oneness in the depth of our own individual lives is the greatest of all joy. Total awareness of our eternal life has a profound effect on our present, temporary life and is the key to understanding its true meaning. The following analogy may help :

The Wave Analogy

Imagine that you are a wave, a single wave on the surface of the vast ocean. The ocean represents the universe. You have a separate identity in that you have movement and form and an apparent life of your own. You may be a small ripple or you may be a giant tidal wave with terrible power at your disposal. There are many other waves each having its own characteristics - these represent all the other living beings in the universe. You are not the ocean and yet you only exist because of it. You are made of it and you cannot really distinguish the difference between the water making you up and the water forming the vast ocean itself. You cannot exist without the ocean and the ocean cannot exist without you because it is impossible to distinguish where you end and the ocean begins. Finally, after travelling over the surface of the ocean for a while, all the energies and conditions essential for your existence gradually decay away and you are unable to continue. This is not a tragedy. You simply merge back into the ocean from which you came. The ocean never loses you. Eventually, the effects you had on the ocean and a combination of thousands of other causes will produce the conditions for you to reappear on the surface. You will be a wave again. Not the same one of course…but not a different one either. This is the wonderful mystery of the eternity of life.

I see us more like fish in the ocean rather than waves. We live, we die. But we do have some control over where we go in the ocean (life). Waves on the other hand just go where the currents direct them.

All analogy's have a point were they do not work. The point of the Wave analogy has nothing to do with control; only with life and death and how when a wave vanishes, it is not gone, it returns to the sea.

I buy that much of it.

😱 I promised Deb that I would not post that again.

Thats because its a really long, bad analogy.

You should not make the connection between long and bad. You have some really long posts, are they bad? 😛

i didn't make a connection. I made a clarification.

Not just Long, Not just Bad,
Not bad because it is long, not long because it is bad,

but Long and Bad.

😆 Wider is better. 😆 Two fingers and a thumb (this is a reference to a crude 16th century song).

also a sexual analogy and many school's rules for tank top straps.

When you start handing out pamphlets...that spam.

Spam is, in layman's term, putting forth unsolicited adverts of some kind - think junk mail of the electronic age.

You keep posting those "comics" which are blatant propaganda of the worst kind, and have no place in civilised debate beyond being evidence of the irrationality and ignorance of certain pro-Christian groups hoping to scare/confuse people into faith. Thus one could classify it as spam.

The only legitimacy to these comics is that it should us the truth depth of these people's delusion. However, I got it the first time he posted them; all that other ones were Spam.

If you want to hear the true depth...go to some places of worship.

The pursuit of happiness is the biggest mistake of modern man. Secularism, Buddhism and other forms of teaching tell people that happiness is what we should be seeking. This is a BIG LIE. Seeking happiness leads to moral decay, restlessness, and the inability to be satisfied. Happiness or joy is the product of the choice to follow the truth of Jesus Christ. Joy is one of the fruits of the Spirit and like fruit joy ripens with time spent in the Spirit.

Wow...you do not know what the f*ck you are talking about, do you?

Buddhism does not teach the pursuit of happiness...it infact calls the prolonged state of happiness a myth, teaching its followers to accept the fact that happiness comes in short periods, and is not an ever lasting endurance within life.

Buddhism teaches tolerance and universal love, UNLIKE Christianity......✅

Happiness and Joy exist WITHOUT the belief in Jesus Christ, it exists for different reasons and for different stimuli. With each post, you only prove more and more how IGNORANT a person you truly are. 👇
