We can't prove that every prophet was a historical figure but it shouldn't matter.

just because you believe in a god or the god to start it doesn't mean you believe in heaven not every god believing religion believes that there is a heaven

True, and Heaven really isn't in the sky...I think it is another dimension type place...One of the many other dimensions.

Yes...And near death experiences all hold the same picture of it.. Also some out of body experiences report this same type of thing...I'm sure there are many other type dimensions as well, otherwise how could some and there are many, who have seen spirits. Even Revolutionary soldiers, and in Old European places, other historical things also...

the reason that people have and can see spirits or angels or demons or whatever other name people might have for them is because god reviels himself to us as he finds fit and as he pleases

In all reality I doubt we could even comprehend heaven

There are scores of books written about peoples near-death experiences, whether they are Shamans, Buddhists, Atheists, What ever! And they all went to the same place...
