Jesus Christ

In the beginning"And God said to man: 'Behold I have given you every herb bearing seed and every tree in the garden... to you it shall be for meat.

Paul taught IT WAS OKAY FOR CHRISTIANS TO EAT FLESH, EVEN FLESH FROM ANIMALS SACRIFICED TO IDOLS. First, let us see if Larson is correct; did Paul permit the eating of flesh, even flesh sacrificed to idols? As with Paul's upholding of slavery and his downgrading of women, we need not look far for evidence to confirm Larson's assertion in regard to Paul and meat; the nearest Pauline Bible will suffice. In his Epistle called "Romans", Paul wrote:

"... he whose faith is weak eats only vegetables.... For meat destroys not the work of God."

Later, after Paul had led an outright schism against the "old Apostles" (i.e. against those who had actually known, walked with, and been trained by Jesus), he went so far as to call vegetarianism a doctrine "taught by demons"; in 1st Timothy (the same epistle in which he ordered Christian slaves to work extra hard for their Christian slave masters), Paul declared:

"The spirit clearly warned me that in latter times some would abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. Such teachings come through hypocritical liars... commanding people to abstain from meats, which God created to be eaten with thanksgiving.... For every animal created by God is good for eating, and none are to be refused if received with Thanksgiving."

Shortly we shall see that Paul even encouraged the eating of meat sacrificed to idols. But before doing so, we need to compare the above words of Paul with those of Jesus. After all, Paul has asserted that those whose "faith is weak eat only vegetables" and that "every animal created by God is good for eating". He has even gone so far as to call vegetarianism a doctrine taught by "hypocritical liarers" and "demons".

Danial and his 2 other companions in the OT were vegetarian.....remember the story?....They wouldn't eat the kings fine food and o nly wanted greens...

The most reasonable conclusion to come to after studying Paul is that he was indeed a Gnostic who was embraced by Christianity.

How dare you shake the very foundation of my beliefs, oh wait, I'm a Buddhist, I'm ok now. 😆 😆 😆 jk

Before you are so quick to talk about fiction, there are numerous people on this earth that has through the power of God working through them performed miracles
and there are people who won the lottery....... and without the help of a god as well, and there are people who survived impossible odds without a god, and there are people who taunted a god and just got a little scratch as an rest of the life souvenir for that deed, and there are those who who retaliated to those deeds.........with a deed that cant be forgiven from any god ......and there are us who doesnt really care what any god or book say................

You must definetly be smokin something to believe all those things you read to be true
just as it is for those who belive in the bible then

I worship Jesus NOT because He is God... but that's what God wanted us (Christians) to do. According to Jesus Christ Himself, there's ONLY ONE TRUE GOD - and that is the Father. Jesus is the Son - He is not the Father - therefore, He is not the ONE TRUE GOD.

well Stalin wanted people to worship him too so........

And Jim Jones.......

BTW sonnet I never said the "The Da Vinci Code" was fact....It's a fictional book with some facts thrown in it.

Thank goodness for that!

Yeah, It's the worship of Paul in "Jesus name"....

To believe or not believe does make a difference on whether you believe in sin...Sin is a Biblical concept, and normal is what we all are...Yes, we should learn from our choices, but choices in of themselves do not make them sins.

I agree.

Also, sin suggests forgiveness, and although I could forgive someone and they could forgive me, there is nothing that any of us can do to circumvent cause and effect. Sin is just missing the mark, like making a mistake.

It's not like we could offend God. 😆

Yet, the Biblical truth remains that a man is NOT God. And God is NOT a man... for there is ONLY ONE TRUE GOD - the Father of Jesus Christ - the Father of Adam - the Father of Abraham - the Father of Israel - the Father of Christ's disciples.

I agree with you Jury, yes Jesus is the Son and not the Father, but He is God as His Father is God. The Father is the Supreme God with Christ under Him as His Son. John 1:1-14 explains this.
