I would say that other than season three every season of Supernatural has been notably better than the one preceding it, plateauing at season five. So far six hasn't been as good as five, but that was pretty inevitable due to the scope of the fifth season, but I'm hopeful that the second half of season six will pick up with the introduction of the new Big Bad. The last episode hit the rest button on the brother's relationship so you might enjoy it again.
