I would say that other than season three every season of Supernatural has been notably better than the one preceding it, plateauing at season five. So far six hasn't been as good as five, but that was pretty inevitable due to the scope of the fifth season, but I'm hopeful that the second half of season six will pick up with the introduction of the new Big Bad. The last episode hit the rest button on the brother's relationship so you might enjoy it again.

Yeah I thought the show got better with every season. A lot of the guys I talk to about the series say the opposite. And yeah hard to top fighting the daddy of evil in mythology, ol' Satan. But things will inevitably pick up, I've liked the season so far as it is.

The show has gotten better with every season, I really don't see how this can be argued, but I guess someone has to be wrong. 🙂

This season isn't horrible, but it's not good imo.

Overall I didn't really like the third season with blonde Ruby and Bella as much as the second season, but it did have some high notes and two of the best episodes of the show to date, Bad Day at Black Rock and Mystery Spot.

Last Friday's episode was bad, season 1 racist ghost truck bad. I was shocked because the quality of Supernatural episodes are pretty consistent... it was almost like a different show. Can't wait for this Friday's episode, Sam and Dean get transported to a world were they are actors playing Sam and Dean in a tv show called Supernatural. So meta.

They've had some stinkers.

Like you said, racist ghost truck, then they had a "Wrong Turn" ep, and the bug one.

Still getting through Season 5 here

just seen ep 95 "Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid".

Just watched the new episode tonight. Pretty funny with the alternate dimension and whatnot. It was a bit too much of a filler feeling though.

It's funny to think next season if it get picked up again Supernatural will have been on air as long as Buffy was. I suppose it deserves it though. While Supernatural might not be as important to pop culture, I would say it has been consistently better than Buffy ever was. Not to mention that Supernatural has largely improved season to season were as Buffy pretty much peaked at season 2.

Season 3 was better than season 2 Buffy imo.

Anyway, Angel > Buffy & Supernatural.

Only season 5, but season 5 of Angel was pretty much perfect. The best episodes of both Angel and Supernatural are all written by Ben Edlun anyway. 😎

I thought Buffy was great up until season 4's end. After that, kind of went downhill. Supernatural is certainly up there though.

Imo season 4 of Angel is up there too, and beats several Supernatural seasons.

I enjoyed that episode. I loved when they found out Sam was married to Ruby in real life. Great episode but it did fill like a filler, but a great filler.

Very surprised with how this season is going. I really thought carrying it on after season 5 and Kripke's writing ended would be just a big mistake and disappointment but I have to say it's still very good. Not quite season 4 & 5 good but very impressive none the less.

I've been debating with my friends about how it should end and my closest thats really into the show is convinced there's no other way but for them to both die and be reunited with their parents in heaven but I think Sam's the only one thats gonna have to die. Its seemed that way from the beginning to me. Plus now with all that time in hell and tormented soul and blocked memories I can't really see any other acceptable ending for Sam IMO. Dean however needs to finally go back to Lisa n Ben and finally really have that "normal" life he's always wanted. Ben may not be his blood but its been obvious for some time he's his dad in every way that matters. I know personally all to well the great difference between father's and dad's. Besides, virtually everyone else on the show has atleast at some point had a normal life. Dean really never did, he's been a hunter since age 5 pretty much and only had the one year with Lisa and Ben. It's time he's found his peace. After all thats happen to Sam his whole life and how he's been manipulated and even outright tormented by pure evil since the very beginning I can't see any other real peace and help for him other then finally reuniting with his parents in heaven.

Just wanted to know some other opinions on how the show should end and see if anyone also shared my or my friends thoughts on how the show should end.

I agree with you that Sam is really the only one that has to die. Dean should patch up things with Lisa, and just be the father he was meant to be. I don't know how they are going to finish off all the monsters unless killing Eve will complete that task.

I'm also surpirsed that this season is interesting at all, because how can you improve a show after fighting the devil?

Supernatural is the best show ever.

jkz its wank

I wonder where do they go after this. They already fought Lucifer, Eve and pretty much all types of demons. What is left for them to do? Aliens?

I read on IGN's Supernatural Paleyfest coverage that this season ends in a "Worst Case Scenario" cliff hanger, so it's likely they have to deal with Eve (or the ramifications of whatever her end game is) for at least one more season.

I read that

Spoiler:
wall in Sam's mind will crumble completely
.

No point in that being a spoiler cause lets face it we can all see that coming...I'm just wondering when and what will happen...I mean I know what will happen cause they said but like...how will they get passed it, somehow

Spoiler:
they'll be able to cure his soul.
Spoilered it to be on the safe side just incase there is a point in spoilering it.

I have a feeling that either

Spoiler:
God or some super angel will heal his soul
but thats just a little guess, doubt it will be that but it might be

I hope next season doesnt turn into a quest for Sam to right all the wrongs he did during that year.

Sam's got to die. It's really the only ending that would make sense to me at this point. After all he's been through and what he's currently dealing with I can't really see any other way for him to find peace besides being reunited with his parents and Jessica all in heaven.

Anything less would be a bs fairytale to me at this point and this is Supernatural. Happy endings aren't really something they're known for.
