I thought the episode was decent. Cass was funny, Mark Sheppard is always great as Crowley and the return of the Impala. I don't think anyone was really invested in the Leviathans or Dick Roman, so the episode was pretty much just going through the numbers to kill off the big bad and set up the next season. I liked the cliff hanger,
Spoiler:but I think it will probably be glossed over pretty quickly next season.
Dean trapped in Purgatory with all the monsters they've ever killed, Sam truly alone on earth and Crowley gets some more power with the Prophet,
Excited for next season. New show runner (Jeremy Carver killed it on Being Human, and wrote Mystery Spot, which is one of the best Supernatural episodes), and the show is being moved off the Friday Night Death Slot, back to Wednesdays.

yay! Sam and Dean are separated... AGAIN! 😐
haven't watched beyond a few eps into season 7......
I want to catch up because I love this show but I feel like it should have ended it with season 5.
Season 5 had the greatest season end and from what I have been reading they seem to be reusing old "story bits"

i liked season 6 tho.
It was decent but I just can't see them having a better ending and I would rather it end while it's good then staying on air and tanking...The second part is my main concern...

Season Six had some of the best standalone episodes.
I really liked The rabbit foot episode, the wishing well ep, and yellow fever! Idk if any episode in 6 could top those lol for me at least.

Clap Your Hands if You Believe and The French Mistakes are two of the funniest episodes of the entire show and were both in season six. Frontier Land is awesome too.

I wasn't a huge fan of the fairy episode. It was funny but it didn't do much for me. The other two were pretty funny though!
I loved the wishing well though. The teddy bear was hilarious!

Season 7 was a disappointment. The Leviathans were lame villains. The finale ending withSpoiler:is too similar to when he got trapped in hell.
being transported/trapped in purgatoryThe Felicia Day episode had to be my favorite of the season. Hopefully season 8 will be the last.
Spoiler:
It's nothing like him being trapped in hell. He was only there part of one episode and we didn't see him doing anything but being attached to hooks. The idea that Dean is trapped in a place with all the monsters he has ever killed and he has to find a way to survive is much more interesting than his stint in hell

Well, Eric Kripke originally drafted for five seasons, he'd a storyboard for five seasons, and he wrote and directed many of the eps in seasons 1-5.
However, Kripke dropped out to being just a producer after season five. That's why everything beyond seems a little off. Sera Gamble picked up a lot of the writerly duties and other people came to do the directing.
"Jus in Bello" the only Supernatural ep that one an award - Emmy for directing - was written and directed by Kripke.
I actually boycotted myself after he left... after two years though, I just couldn't hold back when I saw season six on netflix. 😄
