Black Adam, every Lantern, Firestorm? Meanwhile I don't even have the scale Surfer to other characters's feats to ensure his win here. Imagine how one-sided it would be if I either dismissed all the scaling for Black Adam or started to scale Surfer to other Heralds, Cable, Quasar, Gladiator, etc. and use their feats.

Surfer is arguably as fast as the Flash, more durable than Superman, has better energy projection than either Hal, Kyle or John, is better at transmuting matter than Firestorm, is a better telepath than Martian Manhunter, etc. and that only accounts for a fraction of what he's capable of.
Unless he's holding back there's no one member of the League (or equivallent) that can stand up to him, unless we're talking about amped versions like Ion or Parallax.

It was Kyle who absorbed power cosmic from Parallax and Oan power from Thanos, he just gave it to Surfer to contain it.

Blast him won't work. Surfer is not known for damaging high heralds with his blast. If you disagree then show a time Surfer significantly hurt a high herald with his blasts. Punch him won't work. Surfer is too weak. BRB feat is invalid because BRB was hurt from the board. And BA is stronger than BRB.
Other tactics either won't work, Surfer doesn't have that ability, or Surfer will not be doing them in a forum fight.
Surfer is incredibly slow actually. His board is fast, which some members say it's sentient. So he does not get his boards feats. But that's travel speed, not combat speed. I would say Spider-Man is faster than Surfer (without board) in combat.

At the end of the day, Kyle is just human, he depends on his internal organs for subsistence, and it's not like Kyle could perform open-heart surgery on himself even with his ring.
Silver Surfer is a less powerful Dr. Manhattan, but with the same range of powers.

To compare Surfer versatility requires all of GL members feat and FireStorm 🙄 probably why his the stable poster boy her in KMC in that regard .

I think it was to show that he created something living. Firestorm at the time couldn't affect living things, so it was just a way of showing it was alive.
Another way would be having Batman or Mr Terrific running tests. It's just shorthand to move the story along.
Tony, for example, has created AIs and armours that are advanced enough to think and process information.....but they're not alive . The firestorm test is just to say hey, don't question it, they're alive.
