I dunno, I've been listening to a lot of Bad Company and new Queen lately.

Paul Rodgers is really starting to grow on me. The guy is almost 60, and his stuff with Queen..wow. The range on the guy is out of this ****ing world. Too bad practically nobody born after 1985 knows who he is.

For me, best voice overall is Mike Patton.

Chris Cornell isn't a metal vocalist, and whilst many consider Tool a "metal" band, I wouldn't say Maynard is either. Though those are great choices.

Yeah, I'd go along with the call for Chris Cornell. His voice is epic. In other news, I also like Ray LaMontagne's worldly tones.

As for old school crooners, it's gotta be Frank, Ella Fitzgerald, Van Morrison, Billie Holiday and Marvin Gaye. Dose kats got soul in dem voices, say true.
