Very barbaric. What next a good old "hanging". The Death Penalty is abit much - an easier way out of committing a crime. "Oh so and so killed 200 people his now going to get the death penalty" Quick and painless but the suffering for those families lasts forever. Let them rot in prison for the rest of their lives, not let them have a quick way out by sinking to their level by killing them. The US is trapped in prehistoric times.

why do you focus only on the U.S. the U.S was actually the first nation to introduce the prison system ( not prisons,but prison sytem) It is mind boggeling to see how great the prisoners are treated. Prisoners in the U.S have almost as many rights as the citezens they were before they raped children and murdered some preachers. Prisoners get it great,yeah they treat each other like shit,but the system gives them to many comfortable rights. What prehistoric times are you referring to? Do you seriously think that the U.S is the only country that prctices the death penalty? In some countres you get hanged in the streets, like those good ol hangins your talkin about,or have your tounge lashed out for lying. Before the twetiuth century executions were common practice to punish criminals, and it diddint take much to have this consequence put upon you.
It isnt like the U.S has a conyer line where people are executed every minute, actually there are very few executions a year in the u.S. People with life in prison still can live long meaningfull lives, this is the same right we dont want them to have. i think you eigther need solitary confinment for people instead of the death penalty or enforce the death penalty.However to lock away a prisoner for life is a very costly price that citezens pay for. Cold harden killer or not every one fears death, it is not an easy way out. living on death row for ten years waiting to be put to death is a very very hard way out.
Yea, really. If we actually told these people "You can kill as many people as you want, and do whatever you want to the corpses" the last thing they would do is betray their fellow soldiers, because they'd be able to kill! Besides that, some of the people in prison actually train themselves to kill efficiently.
