1st of all the hulk would smash superman!
superman has a HUUUUGE weakness. Kryptonite!
plus, the newer greener hulk has super intelligence as well.
the hulk on the other hand vertually has no weakness.

Havok's , (brother of the x-man cyclops,) mutant abilities is the power to ommit powerful blasts of solar energies that he absorbs from the sun...since the hulk's powers' origins is gamma radiation from space, havok tried absorbing his energy straight from the hulk after everyting else failed, at the end of the issue it seemed to have worked, but of course i didnt have the very next issue in the series and i dont know what happened next...)
in the end the hulk would be entirely too much on superman...and eventually would escalate to the point where superman would have to recruit many (many many) other cosmic superheroes to fight hulk because, superman could never ever defeat the hulk (maybe the old dumb hulk but not the new) and all that superman would do to the hulk would be annoying...like a bad case of fleas...so eventually hulk would swallow a piece of kryptonite and everytime superman would come near him superman would lose his powers...
Let me first say, I LOVE the hulk, he is my favorite character ever, however, I have to regretfully admit he would stand no chance against Superman. For this even to remotely be a fight you would have to stipulate two things for Superman, first, no flying, or, as other's have put it, he could just fly hulk into space and even tho Hulk can hold his breath, how could he fight in the weightlessness of space.
Second, Superman would have to be forbidden from using his light speed, I mean, seriously, even if the Hulk's stronger, tougher, whatever, if he get's hit 100 times before he even know's what's going on, he's done for.
I should point out ofcourse that Sups does have his weakness, (the "green stuff"😉 however, how would Banner know this and how would he find it, but just to be safe, you'd have to ban that as well.
So, with no flying, no super speed, and no Kryptonite, yeah, this would be a heck of showdown, can't say who'd win. A better fight all around would be Surfer vs Superman, think about it:
Both aliens to earth
Both super stong and durable
Both can fly in space
Both can move at light speed
Both have long range weapons (heat vision, cosmic blasts)
Both have a big bad powerful nemesis (Galactus, Darkseid)

It is that simple, if he can move 164000 miles a second and the earths atmosphere is not more than like 60 miles up he could have someone on a different planet in a matter of seconds, The reason he doesnt is because Superman doesnt kill and not to mention it would make for bad writing, but if you were to have each character use all their powers Supes would come out on top.
😮 Superman of Metropolis or Justice League? When he fights criminals, he was to work, but he's much weaker when he helps other superheroes.
He is stronger than hulk most of the time, and even if the hulk got stronger, his invincibility is good as well. Mindless hulk though... Might have a fair thread there.
well...i think that in reality hulk (the newer greener smarter one) is just naturally more powerful to begin with. he never grows weaker. he was banished to other worlds during his series because his freak accident was a serious threat to the known universe because no being could stop him. he was almost destroyed completely by the cosmo gods or whatever the hell their called. even w/o kryptonite...hulk would eventually smash superman. though the key to the fight is 'why would they be fighting in the 1st place....they are both good guys. well there are four ways to look at this:
one; is that the hulk is the attacker and the antagonist,...trying to beat or kill superman for whatever reason the hulk has...maybe revenge for a murder. i dont know.
second; would be superman being the attacker (much more realistic)
and the antagonist...for whatever reason he needs to stop or kill the hulk...perhaps to get revenge for a murder. i dont know.
third; they bothe are equally the attackers...they both have reasons to stop each other...this could go on many levels...even a friendly competetive level. or maybe they get imprisoned together in some alternate universe and they fight each other and blame each other and then of course they have to work together in the end to beat the real bad guy.
the fourth would be a one in which neither one has any reason to kill the other. in which this is more of a psychological struggle.
all depends on the story.
in all scenarios, i believe the hulk would win everyone.
ahh which brings me to the 'silver surfer'...
he can beat the hulk. he can beat superman. he can beat the hulk and superman together. but i think that silvr surfer and hulk are friends and have saved the universe a coupla times together (or tried to at least) and they would team up against superman for being so gay. lol
don't care to read this whole thread....just gotta say.
i have a comic where superman tries to put Hulk in a bear hug from behind, and Hulk breaks out of it so fast and with such strength that Superman is sent to the depths of our atmosphere.
Superman admits that Hulk is his superior in strength...but that doesn't win him the match.
Superman would ultimately defeat the Hulk because much like his fight with Thor....Hulk would grow tired of fighting Superman. Not fatigued, but well....bored. He would dish out some licks, but once Hulk saw that Superman a.) won't give up b.) isn't a bad guy c.) doesn't want to kill Hulk. Then he'll just say screw it and home away into the distance.
No telling what an all out fight to the death, that was fired by the death of each of their significant others (betty and lois though betty is already dead) would result in...
