in close battles like this, you have to look at another power that each character posseses!!!!! and that power can give the edge to any character. that power is the POPULARITY VOTE!!!!

K3VIL, Your arguement is unsupported. I did not say that Hulk would beat Superman. I said he is stronger than Superman. This was proven in the Marvel vs. DC crossover, when Hulk knocked Superman clear out of Metropolis. You are exaggerating Superman's strength. He could definately win against Hulk, but it would be a long, tedious battle.

And for the last time, Hulk does not have to "charge" anger. Due to his mental illnesses (skitzophrenia and Multiple Personality Disorder, Doc Samson diagnosed this,) He could instantly flip out, becoming way stronger than Superman.

Your "tossing Hulk into the sun" arguement is also weak. Hulk was forged in the heart of a fusile Gamma bomb reaction, (where it would in fact be hotter than the core of the sun. Do your Physics homework.) Gamma rays are way more energetic than any radiation emmitted by the Sun. (solar radiation includes: visible light, microwaves, x-rays, and ultraviolet light. Check you EM Spectrum.)

The hulk is debatedbly one of the most powerful beings in the universe so Theres no way the hulk would be defeated

We are talking about post-crisis Superman, who has a constant strength level.

Being that DC has no strength level charts, this RPG chart is the only apparatus we can use to compare their strengths. And I didn't say Hulk would be fast enough for Superman. However, he could defend himself. He does have superhuman speed, (Though it is nowhere near superman's,) and invulnerability. Superman could not knock him out in one speedrush, or two for that matter. It would take alot of effort for him to bring down Hulk.

Napalm, you cannot say that Hulk could not lose. Superman is a more than worthy opponent for Hulk.

Hulk strenght would overcome the alien farmboy.

I am not a Hulk fanboy; I am not saying that Hulk would win. However, he does stand quite a chance against Superman.

Hulk would die from brain damage? Alien creatures ate the flesh from Hulk's bones leaving a skeleton. He regenerated. Superman could not kill Hulk, as Hulk could regenerate from any remains. Superman could not reduce Hulk to a skeleton, not even using his heat vision. You are giving Superman way too much credit.

There is no definate undisputeable victor of this fight. Hulk could win, but is is more likely that Superman will.

Superman's strength does not increase. Hulk's does. Therefore, Hulk is physically stronger.

Power Boost: Superman can direct his bodies energies into his Strength, Flight or Speed, raising them as high as +2CS. It is an instantaneous boost and will be used when the challenge calls for it. He would normally raise +1CS, then +2CS if the initial boost is ineffective. He can boost immediately to Shift-Y if he needs too.

But I'll comment just to clarify on your rogue assumption, they had like a total of four encounters, one being his first appearance where she AND the entire x-men tried to attack him resulting in him using his "cheesy supermanish" breathe to blow them all away like toy soldiers..Another was where she did indeed "punch" him into the air(not exactly damaging him but just hitting him while his attention was on something else), another is where she sneaked him once again and rammed him through like four walls just before he bashed down on her back "knocking" her unconscious..The last is where the battle between the X-men and the Imperial guard duke it out for the life of the phoenix as the entire x-men get their butts handed to them and Glad and rogue square off last, both are going blow for blow causing the building their fighting under to collapse, Glad being more durable recovers as rogue is left "unconscious" from the debrea..Glad kicked rogue's tail the most and the only time she actually scored a blow was when his attention was averted...

And you're right there is no "definite" winner of this fight because Hulk fans or gonna "intellectualize" hulk winning and Superman fans will follow suit..

But if I had to pick between the two I would "cheesily" go for the one whom has more versatility(Superman), more intelligence(Superman), has a better win/loss record(Superman)..Not a somewhat "mindless" beast who's power relies on his madness to grow...Superman is calmer, more calculative, and passive and that gives him a helluva edge...he may be cheesier, less interesting and more exxagerated but you must understand his character was designed to be damned near "perfect" in every aspect...

I understand your decision, point taken. And I agree that Superman could definitely take Hulk. My argument was that Hulk could best Superman in a test of pure strength, not a fight.

I was not talking about their abilities listed on the site when I referred to it, yet you have a strong point. But if Superman did boost his strength and sacrifice his speed, flight, and invulnerability, he would surely lose, as Hulk could become stronger than him, and Superman would become too slow and vulnerable to fight. Superman would only beat hulk with his balanced abilities, not with one boosted ability. What makes Superman so powerful is his versatility.

OJ makes a damn good point, and that's pretty much what I'm making my decision on too. And, supessucks, I know we're talking about current Superman, which makes this a more interesting fight. But like OJ said, Superman still has the strength, Intelligence, and overall versatility to beat Hulk.

my point which of course is right is take th two and put them into the same universe ( if u understand), dont have marvel hulk fighting dc supes, as ALL dc characters are insanely powerful in comparison with marvel, like supes would not be anywhere near as powerful in marvel, get my meaning. have hulk fight in a dc world his power would be unimaginably different than hulk fighting in marvel, and vice versa with supes. all ive read from crossovers is supes is no PHYSICAL match for hulk, which is pretty much true, however would supes be stupid enough to try to fight hulk fist to fist???

Superman would probably not fight hulk fist to fist. On an even playing field (DC's best stat = Marvel's best stat, Hulk could go toe to toe with (or beat) superman with his strength (ask any Marvel or DC writer.) Hulk also has just as much endurance and invulnerabity as Superman, So there would be no "one knockout punch," or "superman tossing Hulk into the sun." Superman has never displayed superspeed while fighting. He has only been shown to fly and run at extreme speeds; He never performed a "DBZ style" flurry of attacks, not even against Doomsday.(dont give me the "he can change clothes really fast, arguement; so can a model.) Even with flight, speed, and heat vision, this would be a long, tedious fight to the finish.
