Superman would most definitely win, if he chose to kill the Hulk rather than subdue him. The only real weakness the Hulk has is he needs to breathe. He also cannot fly. So, Superman could blindside the Hulk with a near lightspeed punch. It's happened to the Hulk before. After that, Superman could grab his leg and toss him into orbit. If all else fails, grab the leg and fly into outer space at top speed and leave the Hulk to choke in the vacuum of space. The Hulk would have no way to get back to Earth. Simple as that.
One last thing. We're talking about the current Superman here. The old Superman would destroy the Hulk, with his beyond light speed flight, ability to move planets, and so on...
this fight can go either way, supes has the edge with his rational thinking, heat vision etc. plus, he has much greater base strength than hulk, but when hulk gets really mad, he has the potential for unlimited strength, he can basically break any rule of physics and rest assured, if he gets mad enough, the hulk can easily move faster than superman, flight wont even be necessary as the hulk can easily clear he atmosphere and the earth's gravitation in just a single jump, he also has the ability to survive any temperature{much higher than just 4000c anyway} depending on his rage, and hulk when left without air for a VERY long time goes into a coma, but he can overcome even that if he gets mad enough. just a reminder that hulk is strong enough to just PUNCH THE EARTH OUT OF ITS ORBIT so there goes the thing with superman moving planets, nowever the basic weakness that hulk has is his irrational thinking, the stronger he gets, which would give supes a great advantage over him.

like you said and heat vision , gladiator did that his skin hulk can take letal heat , and other other attacks of great power.
Hulk can always be debated since his streght increase far beyond ,superman even tho he doesn't have any other powers his brute always saves his ass.

The fight can go either way. Superman also needs to breathe. If a super pissed Hulk grabs Superman's neck (like in kgkg's sig) He could choke him into unconsciousness. Same goes for Hulk, but unlike Superman, Hulk gets stronger. If Superman holds onto Hulk long enough, Hulk will get pissed and swat him away like he did Juggernaut.
I've heard someone post that Superman's heat vision is hotter than a star. NOT. According to the "Superman guides" sold in most bookstores, it's around 3,000 degrees Celcius. No way it's hotter than a star. Hulk has withstood the heat of stars (a hydrogen bomb can be hotter than a star.) When Fing fang foom breathed cosmic fire on Hulk, he simply coughed, grabbed it's tounge, and beat the daylights out of it.
Though I believe Superman has the advantage, either of them could win. I give Superman 6 out of 10.
I find it harder to believe Superman can beat Hulk each time I read Superman Vs Doomsday.
He flies in there with ultra intent of taking out Doomsday. What happens? The man gets his head weaved into the floor.
How he'd do against someone with unparalleled rage and durability I don't know. (He'd lose IMO).

Everyone keeps saying "Doomsday is Hulk's superior" and "Doomsday has faster than Flash attack speed." I honestly don't see it. I know for a fact that he is not faster than Flash, and Hulk is debateably Doomsday's superior. Pre-crisis Superman has even said, "No-one sane would want to fight you, Hulk..." or something to that effect. Superman vs. Doomsday was basically Doomsdays superior strength and durability versus, well... Superman. Superman ultimately lost; though he stopped Doomsday, he died while Doomsday lived on.

Doomsday didn't gain powers, he gained durability and resistance (not immunity) to certain forms of injury. He had superspeed from the start, but he was nowhere near as fast as Superman, or even Wonder Woman.
Gladiator is as powerful as pre-crisis superman,
which makes post-crisis superman look like a joke in comparison,
Hulk starts out weaker,but has the ability to eaasily surpass gladiator,
Who would(at full confidence/with unbiais writing) destroy post-crisis superman,
So hulk wins in a brute fight against post-crisis superman.Duh!
btw. its not rocket science to figure that one out.
