I think Hulk definitely has A SHOT if he got mad enough, but I can't see him beating Superman. Superman is ungodly powerful to a ridiculous sense sometimes - c'mon, AND he has super breath? psh.
Hulk could, and should, give him at least a run for his money, but I don't see him being the victor in the end, unless in the comic there was some sort of power up or something. Maybe Superman goes "oh no, he's green, that reminds me of kryptonite...and now psychosomatic disorders are my thing! Ah! Ah! Ah!" lol

Super breath? You actually see that being much of a help here? I dont.
And ungodly powerul? Who isent. Hulk has punch a time storm. Pretty much everyone of the top tier has ridiculous feats.
Not to mention in a slugfest Superman its not going to use all powers. Thats where the beast has a great chance.
Like Doomsday did.
It just comes down to who is writing the fight. If they would actually have Superman use all of his powers to their full potential he would take this. However, no one ever does. If Doomsday can kill Superman just by punching him, then you have to give the hulk a shot since he could become much stronger than Doomsday and actually gets stonger during the fight.

Yep, he already died to Supes. So it can't happen again...it's well known in the SUperman universe that Doomsday is beyond being killed by Superman now. In a brawl, Superman doesn't stand a chance against Doomsday. And Hulk would have a hard time with Superman if he had two years to watch a mime show so he could get helluva pissed off.
Plain and simple, Superman has too many abilities for Hulk to contend with.
Who's stronger? Hulk, for sure.
Who's more durable? Close call.
Who's faster? Superman.
Who can fly? Superman.
Who has the ability to breathe in outer space? Superman.
I'm a huge Hulk fan, but reality is reality. Hulk would have to be very pissed to stand a decent chance of defeating Superman, and even then, one toss into deep space could end the fight for Hulk early on. Simply put, Superman is just too "super-versatile," while Hulk's a one-liner.
In a brawl, I'd take Hulk any day of the week; it's his true forte, and he wouldn't have to worry about super-speed, or getting tossed into orbit. But, in a straight up fight, the Man of Steel takes it.

Not so, not so. Superman and Hulk are pretty equal in terms of strength, and Hulk's strength increases geometrically when angered.
It isn't a question of whether or not Hulk would be strong enough to defeat Superman. He certainly is. The fact is that he simply isn't versitile enough. If Superman took the battle to space, Hulk would be screwed.
NOTE: The Hulk that appears in comics nowadays would get wrecked by Superman. He's been depowered drastically. 🙁
