Link vs. Sonic

Does anyone know if the Sonic comics are cannon with the games? I used to read them all the time when I was a kid, and there's a couple of things I could use from them if I could remember them. Like one comic for example, Sonic gets a new pair of sneakers from his uncle, Chuck (i think thats his name), and when he puts them on and runs off, he goes so fast that he ends up in a different dimension.

I just figured I would bring it up and ask because in my opinion, the comics were pretty win. There is some proof I can think of that makes me believe they are cannon to each other because in the comics he fights Chaos from SA, and Shadow shows up too, but I don't remember much about what happened, so I cant say if they were true to how it actually happened in the games.

Also, when the first game was released, there was a comic strip that went to it, but I don't know if it was the same first issue of the series that I read. It just gave you a little background story to go with the game. I think I read it in the beginning of the official strategy guide, but idk, its been a really long time ago.

As Ive bee told the comics are non-canon, those comics would put Sonic in a whole new level. Though I think the comic, like the anime, should be the decision of the thread starter as it covers the games plots.

and as far as the thread goes, Sonic wins 😄

Neh, Sarge soloes with his chest hair.

Fine, Link<Sonic<Sarge ^^

Neh. Link = Sarge > Sonic. 131

Link can't grow facial or body hair so he can't = him >.>

mmm Maybe he's just very dilligent about his hygiene.

Yeah because people who live in a forest and/or works on a farm have the most uptight hygiene out there. 313

Clearly he isn't normal! D:< Besides, he has access to blades all the time. Or maybe he's so manly he burns it off with his lantern.

K, so because Ganon looks like Ganon, which was explained as being a prodcut of the trident, whcih he has in OoT, it's non-canon? You fail.

Lighting = Lightning. Also, cant' recall anyone levitating a castle in 16 bit games.

You never have, you have ONLY the gameplay speed, IE, nothing.

Ganondorf doesn't have a trident at all in OoT. You of all people should know that.

Also electrical balls don't equal lightning.

Phantom Ganon uses the Trident.

He's a creation of Ganondorf along with his trident.

Four Swords Adventures is confirmed to be canon actually, at the time of its release, it was stated to be the Chronologically first Zelda.

Actually, he does, and his swords in Ganon form come from it, Phantom Ganon has it, ect.

It's lightning, it's been proven a million times Ganon can shoot lightning, even in games before OoT, and you INSIST he for some reason let Link win when we SEE him using a lightning attack?

We understand that it's lightning, but it's an orb, not a bolt, I don't think it wouldn't have the speed of actual lightning. It's just an electric ball Gannon throws it at you. To prove that Link can react to lightning, you would have to prove that Gannon can throw it at the speed of lightning.

Lightning strikes almost instantly. I don't know the exact speed it travels, but yeah, it's pretty damn fast. So considering that Gannon's Lightning ball increases speed as Link and him take turns trading blows, it's not going at the speed of an actual Lightning bolt. In other games where he can actually shoot Lighting bolts, yeah, I could see where you could bring this up, but not his attack in OoT. Also, I don't remember the Link in the other games being able to react to those attacks.

but on to the thread now. Sonic in SA2 has magic hands. Link shrinks into a tiny ball and Sonic throws him against a wall.... Sonic wins. 😄

This HAS been proven. Hell, in games BEFORE Ganon even got the ToP he could throw lightning at full speed, what you're describing is a simple gameplay mechanic. ZEUS throws "orbs" by this logic, but there's no doubt it's lightning.

The rest of your post can be ignored. 😐 You're basicly assuming Ganondorf lets Link win.

ShitPaste get on MSN, we have shit to talk about.

Nintendo sure knows how to create confusing timelines. Four Sword Adventures being the first game creates conflicts with OoT and Minish Cap.

Ganondorf isn't seen with it at all throughout OoT. The one Phantom Ganon uses disappears when he's beaten proving it's just a part of his creation along with his horse.

No, it's electricity in the form of a non-lightning speed orb. There's is no cutscene or proof that Link has lightning speed reactions.

Minish Cap actually came out later and then was confirmed to be chronologically first I think.

So stuff and shit.
