Melkor, I think Mentor represents someone who can give advice, not something like Ties, which allows you to ask for direct help off the thing you are 'Tied' to.

You are right, Trickster, I just meant that it isn`t wise to ask Emperor for advice too often if you are supposed to do the task for him, so having an additional Mentor isn`t redundant. Ush do you think Tarkin works better as Contact or Mentor?

I would say mentor. Isn't a contact more of a contact inside an organisation?

Just as someone before could not have Mon Mothma (Alkaselzar, maybe?) as a contact.

'Ties' implies membership and standing, that's the trick. Ties to the Emperor means that his own Inner Circle forms your associates.

Alkaselzer, not to pick nits or anything, and not saying it's wrong, but Mon Mothma would be about two-thirds your character's age. It'd be more like you were her mentor. Not that it still doesn't work out that way, just thought I'd be a pest and bring it up.

Well, my reasoning is that Mon Mothma is probably much more adept at this political thing than Galahad is, seeing as she is a founding mother of the Rebellion.
