Yes, they were flying at lightspeeds, but there was no evidence to support they were fighting at lightspeeds. Max Lord was even talking and could keep up with their actions while they were fighting at the Sun, which indicates they were not fighting at lightspeed, just flying to and from the Sun at those speeds.

The camera followed the whole battle from earth to space. Obviously it was built to keep track at those kind of speeds considering his equipment is custom made to track metas. It's not like Lord was just there watching in person.

They aren't going to go far past lightspeed and decide to slow down just to throw punches. WW got punched back across the solar system to earth faster than light speed alone.

I'm not questioning how the cameras kept up with them to the Sun to indicate that they didn't fly faster than light there. What I AM pointing out, however, is that Max is not only to watch them fight and keep up with it...

...but he can also say, "Begin recording"while they are fighting, implying that he could see them full well and they were NOT fighting at lightspeed.

Flight speed and combat speed are two different things. Wonder Woman's flight back to Earth after being punched by Superman is flight speed and the actual scuffle that took place between the two of them is combat speed. Just because Superman could fly her to the Sun at really high speeds doesn't mean he could fight at those speeds (excluding the option of speedblitz of course).

Which brings us back to the original point. The cameras were following them. He simply told it to start recording. Even in your scan it shows that she was struggling the whole flight there.

"Quick, have to be Quick..." her exact words.

Yes, they were fighting fast at the Sun, but not necessarily speed-of-light fast. "Quick" does not automatically mean "lightspeed."

It's not the fact that the cameras were following them that bugs me. It's the fact that Max, a relatively normal human, was keeping track of them well enough while watching them on screen.

....With technological aid.

It would make 0 sense for them to slow down in the middle of that battle in space.

I can watch a shooting star streak across the sky. Does it mean it's not going fast since I can see it?

It makes about as much sense as Superman magically hitting Wonder Woman straight back to Earth from the friggin Sun (millions and millions of miles away).

Even if the cameras slowed things down for Max while they were still fighting at the Sun, Max still wouldn't have seen the whole thing before wonder Woman landed back on Earth, which he seemed to do as he watched her plummet to Earth.

ah i say in some circumstances superman beats thanoz!

"He's dragged behind a hammer. A huge difference from fighting at those speeds."

I belive the intention behind the original question was if he could even fly at those speeds with his hammer.

Moreso we know again with the hammer that he can swing it faster than at least some speedsters can react, like seen in the Moongoose scene when Thor had enough of it.

He certainly has shown to have what it takes to not just look to be standing still against speed users.

Reasonable, I can agree with that. I was amazed when I first saw he had such great trouble in dealing with a low end speedster in Mongoose though.

Reed Richards watched Gladiator fly "100 times the speed of light!" in the very same manner.

But then again, that as well goes back to how Supes get put under a microscope because people don't want to believe he can do the things we've seen him do for years. No-one questioned the validity of Reed[and others present] doing that with Gladiator, but Supes vs Doomsday had a bystanders watching! Max saw Supes and Wonderwoman moving multiples of lightspeed! They must have slowed down to the speed of austistic children on a handful of muscle relaxers! It's the only explanation! Please, it's getting rediculous. The only indication of speed in the comic, had them moving in multiples of lightspeed, anything else is extrapolation.
