I have no idea what anyone's talking about at the moment.
Sony sells like less than half million to Japan.

OMG this thread is so wacked out today. 😂
My shitty standard def 26 inch TV that I've had in my room for the last 6 years burned out on me last night, so now I finally have an excuse to buy a new HDTV, will probably go out with my dad later tonight to look at them. Finally be able to play 360 games in High Def on a screen larger then 19 inches, can't wait.
From GamesIndustry.biz, who recently interviewed Microsoft Vice-President Peter Moore:
Sony announced earlier this week that they'd shipped 1 million units of PS3 into the US. When I spoke to them yesterday, they claimed this gave them an advantage over Xbox 360, that they're further ahead than Xbox 360 was at this stage in its lifecycle in the States. Would you agree with that?I'll defer my comments. "Shipped," for the purpose of what they're talking about, is irrelevant. "Shipped" means it's left the factory. What we're talking about is "sold." "Sold" means that we're a wholesaler of hardware and we sell it to a retailer, and that's the important criteria.
From there you follow your sell-through data, but that data's less than perfect. I'll wait for NPD numbers and then maybe we'll compare NPD numbers.
Sony was very fond of saying a year ago that the first few months don't mean anything, anyway. So now they seem to me they've reversed that stance and they're saying, "In the first few months we're the winner."
They should also keep a focus on their friends to the north in Kyoto, who I think have done a very good job in getting inventory in, and who've created a lot of buzz in the consumer media. More power to them. They're expanding our industry and I have to applaud Nintendo for doing that.
I'll defer until I see real numbers, and NPD are the real numbers. I think we're a week away.
Seems Mr. Gates isn't the only Microsoft official that thinks Nintendo's doing the right thing.
Many said the touch screen on the DS was a gimmerk and now many said the motion sensors on the Wii was a gimmerk. Hmm...seems more like Nintendo knows what they're doing. I mean they've only been a game company for around 25 years and before that a toy company. Nintendo knows how to make good games and systems.

Yesh, that's brutal. Man, Sony, where's that dude who was asking why people are shitting on Sony. That LOL link is the prime example. They treat the consumers like shit.
I'm right here 😄
If the Ps3 was $400 I don't think a lot of this press would be happening, but what can you do. Seriously.
The thing is I want a Ps3, a wii, and a Nintendo DS. With film school and everything, its hard and I can't even go to taco bell without feeling guilty these days.
I want Ps3 for the reasons I stated above, and I want a wii/ds because I have just been missing playing that nintendo stuff new/ and oldschool.
Probably a lot of people have, after the last 5 years of being dominated by people blowing the shit and blood out of each other, public taste wanted a change and nintendo gave it to them. I think its dope that nintendo is back in the game after sucking the last 11 years.
Gamecube, and 64 were bleh, and the orignal DS was a major POS
In other news, blu ray could possibly be winning the battle ( who knows). It has more support from all film studios, excluding Universal. And at the CES thing or whatever it called, Universal had no HD-dvd titles coming apparently, or thats what I here. Plus TDK are coming out with a 200 GB Blu ray disc.
Anyway it seems like its in there favor. I'd give you link but I gotta go to work dudes. runnin late

You might be lucky enough to find some of them on sale right now. I hope to get one too very soon.

As for Sony, yeah, they have annoyed me once before as well, but which business hasn't? All the majoy businesses out there kinda treat some of thier customers like crap, I give thumbs up to Virgin though, never had issues with them. Gateway sucks, no wonder they went out of business, thier service was like asking a dog for help with your technical issues.
Devs have been lazy with the Sixaxis as of late, haven't been the slightest bit creative, it has potential, they just need to use it, its like the PSP, its got what it takes, devs are just too lazy or cheap to make use of it properly. I hate devs sometimes -_- There are some games on Wii that lazily used the controller as well, but seeing as a majority of the great games are first party, the third parties kinda get ignored, who wants a rubbishy NFS:Carbon when you can get Zelda? 😖
I think only Sony like Nintendo can show use what is possible with the Sixaxis, if XBL was left up to devs and third parties to sort out themselves, it would be fatal, lol, luckily Micro didn't let that happen, and thus, we get to see the full capabilities of XBL at its finest 🙂
