Well I doubt your grandparents care about gaming.Plasmas are still very good for it, though.

Careful with games with HUDs that are up constantly. lol
Well I'm not playing on their television so that won't be a problem.
My grandmother already told me I won't be playing any games on her new tv. tongue
anata wa wakarimasu ka.....
My whole house is going digital, we are ditching all the old analogue TVs we have in my house and replacing them all with Digital HDTV plasmas ^^ I'm really excited, we need to change all of them anyway because with digital coming, all analogue TVs will be rendered useless by 2012 😖 Yeah I know, a while a way, but years can fly by fast.
My old TV was a joke, lol, we threw it out cos it used to smoke while watching it, and one day while playing PS2 with some cousins, the stupid thing caught fire, luckily we managed to put it out, almost burned down the house and us with it 😖 It was an old panasonic TV, no fault of Panasonic's as its been fine for years, just had about enough I guess, maybe the voltage was too high. 😮

My TV that died was a Panasonic as well, old 26 inch black one. I got rid of it before it started a fire, maybe.

Congrats on your purchase! 😄I hear Gears of War looks sweet on a HDTV.
Gears of War is so much much better in HD...thats what made me want a 360. It was a black 52' inch flat screen Hdtv with surround sound. Omg i thought i was in heaven...or at least like i was actually in the game.

Looks astounding, I keep dying in MP because I'll just stop and look around at the beautiful scenery.
Awesome! Have fun!
I can't imagine how good Alan Wake, Bioshock, and Huxley are going to look on that tv. Totally kick ass.
OMG! I'm just picturing in my mind Killer Instinct 3 on HDTV. 😱
*jealous*

Anyone hear that MS is buying Capcom?
No gaming experince is complete without 1. A good TV, 2. A comfortable place or postion to sit, or stand if its Wii 😛 And 3. The best in my opinion, SURROUND SOUND! Had to caps that to get the full effect 🙂 You have to hear every blast of a grenade, every curse of a driver whos car you've stolen, every bullet that is emmited from your gun, every rain drop that falls, every skid of your car. You just need to have a good sound quality, makes any game more exciting, even the tetris 😛 lol I'll admit that picture quality is important, but it sux if your sound quality sux, I'd rather have the sound and have a mediocre picture quality. Our only current HDTV is connected to our HiFi which has several speakers linking from it around the room to give us the ultimate cinematic experience 🙂 Dolby surround. Its soo sweet ^^
And people, not that small screen TVs are just not the thing, you cannot see anything on those, its widesceen or no screen. 🙂

Surround sound is the only thing that's missing for me now, doubt I'll get it anytime soon, though.
