They havnt even mentioned anything about its launch lineup, and you mean Blue Ray tech, big whoop, its a bigger storage capacity.
Super Audio CD's is a joke. It came out in 2002 and still hasnt caught on to mainstream consumers. Who wants to buy an cd for over 25 bucks just so they can hear the song from 5 seperate channels. What bands will actually utilize that sound.
It doesnt help that Creative released XiFi which changes the signal of a regular cd to 24bit automatically.
Blue Ray technology has a chance to fail because of the popularity of the DVD. People forget that most consumers dont ****ing care about HD TV and not willing to buy an new DVD Player (in thier eyes) and rebuy their whole collection of DVD's (which are bloody cheap now)
For videogames, it might catch on. But most PC games are still being put on CD's and consoles formats dont really matter.
I just think it's silly to pick an console just because of the specs. Nonbody knows anything about the PS3 yet.

I agree with you on this 100%. I mean I dont plan on buying an HDTV just so I can have a sharp image to play games on, nor will I buy a cd that can allow you to listen music in different channels because first off I have an iPOD secondly and this will probably happen, Apple will start to release iPODS that have that kind of technology. They are going to release a touch screen iPOD this summer.
HDTV makes a huge difference in some games, in other games it's barely noticeable.
GRAW and Racing games seem to enjoy HDTV the most, really improving graphics and immersiveness, thus improving gameplay.
Other games, like Oblivion is noticeable, but not as much as other games.
Still, other games like DOA4 is barely noticeable.
I really think that Microsoft screwed up in releasing the 360 this early. They fixed all of the problems that the xbox had, but there is almost nothing new, so it is more of an upgreade. The revolution is going to have the online feature that allows you to go back in nintendos 20 year game library and get any game you want. I think that nintendo is also going to relese clones of old controllers, but with revolution plugs so you can use them. The ps3 is going to be the fastest, but it is not going to have a whole lot of new features.

Yeah, I don't care. It could be called Sally's Stinky Cooch for all I care, I'll still get one.
what if it was called the "anal penetrator"?
and then when your friends asked, you'd have to say
"yeah, i just bought the anal penetrator, and i've been
playing with it for hours on end. i just cant get enough of it"
would you buy it then?
