Yeah, I'm thinking that also.

It's really not a big deal; just bring in your system and they'll exchange it for a new one and ship the old one back to corporate as defective. And like BF said - if it's doing it with more than one game, it's more likely than not a problem with the system and chances are it's not going to get better, it's just going to get worse. So I'd say bring it in.

Thanks.

do they check if your system is defective before they give you a new one or do they just give you a new one on the spot?

i was wondering because all my discs whistle and its really annoying but its not really that big a problem, just a pain in the ass. i also heard from somebody that they were going to fix the 360 so it didnt make as much noise, is that true?

if you play for a long time and don't take the disc out after, ithe lining used to melt

I would think they would give you a new one on the spot, if you got the extended warranty. Problem is that EB wouldnt have any way of checking the XBOX 360 to see if it works or not, especially if its a disc read problem, which are competely random.

Lol, what 360 are you on now? IGN is on thier third considering they got theirs sorted by Microsoft themselves, and it still came back not working 🙂

Some people have had no problems thus far. Are you on your first, second, third or lost count?

Micrsoft themselves extended their out of the box warranty from 6 months to a year.To many cases of the 360 ****ing up I guess.

I have also read that it also depends on how far your 360 is from the T.V.
The position of the power block also plays a big part in the performance of the system.
I bought the inter cooler for mine just to be safe.

Well, we can test systems (which we do if we're taking in traded-in systems), but if someone says it's defective and they have the warranty, that's the end of it. We just take it and give them a new one.

Hey Lana do you also open up new games and test them out then sell them as new?

Nope.

FINALLY! i am bak!! and i have a question!!

okay i have been thinking about going ahead and buying the wifi adapter for my nintendo wii....you see and i kno many of you all have the wifi already...but what games are there out there? for me to play once i buy it? anything worth it?

I would wait for both the Wii and PS3 becuase they are new and don't have many games out. The Wii's 2 main hit games are Zelda and sports. Red steel and excite truck are both ok but nothing to buy a console for, give it tell end of Q1 or Q2 and you'll have more games and an easyer time getting a wii.
