Microsoft Offers Enhanced Support Service
By Tom Ivan
Microsoft has officially announced that it is offering enhanced Xbox 360 warranty and services, as well as a game replacement program. An admission of faulty products or just a case of Microsoft being generous? Take a look and decide for yourself.
Details have been posted over on the official Xbox site stating that an enhanced warranty and service program is being introduced. These will include a faster repair service and the free shipping both ways of any faulty consoles.
The site reads, “We are committed to delivering an improved Xbox customer service experience for our Xbox 360 console customers, one that is faster, more efficient and includes shipping free of any charge. From our customer service representatives to our executive team, the entire Xbox team has made delivering on this commitment a top priority.”
Microsoft is also increasing its roster of customer care representatives in a bid to boost its customer service.
“Xbox will be hiring a customer care champion who will be responsible for ensuring the end-to-end experience for all Xbox customers is first-class, evaluating and implementing new practices and policies to further enhance the Xbox customer experience. “
Microsoft further announces that it is offering a disc replacement service on first party titles such as Crackdown, Gears of War and Viva Pinata, although this is currently only a temporary measure.
“If, for any reason, you have a damaged Microsoft Xbox 360 disc and like to replace it, please review the information below: This program only applies to games where Microsoft is the publisher, and is subject to availability,” says the statement.

Awsome.
In a recent interview. Kojima says that MGS4 will remain a PS3 exclusive.

So, we won't see MGS4 going multiplatform like DMC4.
Question: Does Kojima still hold the rights to MGS4?
In the end who will decide whether the game remains exlcusive? Kojima or Konami?

i love my 360 even more now
In terms of sales, I think they've broken 5 million in 5 months. That's a bit nuts.
I also have heard rumors that the shortage should be at least somewhat remedied by the end of April; don't have anything to substantiate this though beyond what I've heard at work. I certainly hope it's true. I'm still waiting to get one myself.
Lack of online multiplayer really isn't something that bothers me in the least, but I'm not much of a multiplayer person.

I like the feeling of being one of the Elite that managed to obtain a Nintendo Wii earlier and still in the group of people that has one.I'm not looking forward to the shortage being remedied and having more Nintendo Wiis populating more homes. doped

WHAT IS THE BIG DEAL ABOUT THE FRACKING WII? everyone i talk to who says that the wii is awesome, has never played one, but everyone that i know who has one, says that it's "pretty good" i used to be one of the people who obsessed over the wii, until i played it for more than 1 hour, then it just got boring.
