it stopped working about last week for no apparent reason..it just suddenly wouldnt connect..
it connect to the router fine, but not the internet...ive checked all the setting and they match, but when i do a connection test, it comes up with that error code..

Whoa, hold your horses there. How do you know it is connecting to the router? I've had that error code and it normally means it is doing no such thing.

I also have a question- do you have just the one set of connection settings on the Wii?

when you go to the wii setup/internet, you can search for an access point...when i do that, it picks up the router almost immediatly..then it ask for the password, which i enter, it turns out ok..i check the settings on the router to see if they match the one on the wii, then it ask me to save the settings and do a connection test...i do so, and after about a minute it give the error code and says that it cannot connect to the internet..
and yea i just have the one setting..sometimes i delete it and try the options for connection 2 and 3, but the result is the same 😬

The minute passing is of no consequence- it cannot connect with the router, most likely. All you have demonstrated above is that it can find it; finding it and connecting are very different things.

Assuming you have permission in the household, you could try briefly un-passwording the router and seeing if it works then. If a Nintendo update has rendered compatibility an issue you can try a firmware upgrade on the router, see if that helps.

And I know you have checked but from an outsider's point of view, the most likely diagnosis is bad password. What encryption are you using?

there is no password 😬

Nintendo have always been tricky with there online services.

I noticed this last night when I was playing Uncharted. When PS3 was coming out they were hyping that the games would be in 1080p, but to me it seems more 360 games are 1080p than on PS3, even on games that are multiplatform. WTF? 😑

Uncharted is the first PS3 game I really love, and its easily the best looking console game I have played, but its only 720p. That makes no sense since it was PS3's biggest game of the year.

Since it was there only good game, yet its still just POP in the jungle like AC is just a GTA version of POP.

Better than any Prince of Persia game I have played. I dont see anything wrong with taking elements from other games as long as it works, and this game works very well.

Oh I am not doubting the look of it, it looks very good, an I guess every game steals elements of other games.

That is one game I really would like to see go multiplatform, so disappointed when I found out it was a PS3 exclusive.

Except for Mario. Everyone steals game elements from him...ever since Donkey Kong Arcade.

Mario is the pioneer of games, its obvious everyone would steal from him.

Yeah, we've said this already. It's really not necessary for you to constantly repeat stuff.

Yet I still do hmmm.

I'm running out of patience. I've read about a book a week for about 9 months now. Only Oblivion interrupted it once for about a month or so. I need video games.

The 360. There's like 4 different versions all at different prices, right? Can anyone tell me about the different iterations, so as to help my purchasing decision?

Just buy the Premium.

Unless you want to download a buttload of stuff like movies and want to play games in HDMI, don't buy the Elite. The Core comes with no hardrive and the memory cards are a waste. Also makes it difficult to play on Xbox LIVE.

So.. just get the Premium, which comes with a harddrive, basic HI-DEF cables, headset and I think they're even selling as a bundle so you get Marvel: Ultimate Alliance and Forza Motorsport 2.

Snap. That might be useful....I'm getting Ultimate Alliance eventually anyway.

And yeah, I'm not the type that needs totally 1337 sh*t. An i-phone would rot in my possession, for example, and I really don't need the stuff you mentioned with the Elite.

Anyway thanks. Is that the one selling for usually around $350?

Yeah. The Core I think is 300, Premium is 350, and I guess the Elite is 400 or 450 or something.. Lana knows for sure.

Wicked. I appreciate the help.

And how many controllers do they come with? I won't really need more than 2, so I'm hoping it comes with two. Because then I'll feel salty paying 30-40 for another one.

All packages come with one controller.

Yeah, get the Pro package; the $350 one, it's the best choice.
