does anyone else have/had the same problem?
Since its wireless...it could be an access point problem. The AP may be too far away. Has it been moved recently? (Even relocating the AP a few feet can mean a difference of signal or no signal...) It should be noted that you probably do not have a relay setup unless you live in a really large home...you most likely are only using a wireless router as the one and only access point.
You should go back through the Wii setup and/or check signal strength. You should also check to make sure your AP is connected to a reliable power source(such as a UPS) because power sags can cause the AP to not work and then work and not work, etc. (Most modern computer electronics will turn off if a specific amount of power is not present.)
You also cannot rule out the possibility of hardware failure. It could be the AP OR the Wii. (If everything else works just fine with the Wii, then it would be the wireless transmitter/receiver...call Nintendo because they can repair/replace that.)
You didn't mention what you have been doing to resolve the problem or what happens to cause the signal to come back.
Above all else, google search your symptoms because there could be someone else out there who has had the same problem.
P.S. I don't use the WiFi capabilities of the Wii...

possible
ive been downloading firmwares and updates, and checking up on the net for other people with the same problem..nothing so far

i see..
Well......are you not connecting to the internet at all? You said, "one second, its working, suddenly it isnt.."
First things first....try to get something to work with the AP. If something can work with the AP just fine, then go to the Wii. (It would help if you make sure the device you are going to test the AP with is connected to the AP in the same area as the Wii...to ensure that it isn't a signal problem.)
If it is not connecting at all, then try resetting the router. If resetting the router doesn't work, adjust the settings on the Wii itself. Turn on "Auto-obtain IP Address" if it is turned onto manual. Turn on "auto obtain DNS" as well. (This could explain your "internet" problem if you have been trying to surf the web...no one surfs the web by typing in the IP address in the address field, lol, we really on those human names and not numbers.)
Also, how is your AP data being transmitted. (I mean, security.) I believe you have to select the correct security option in order for the Wii to "talk" via WiFi.
To be honest, I really suck with helping people via e-mail or telephone...it would be much easier if I could actually be there because I could have you up and running in 10 minutes or less...or at least I would be able to tell you what is broken.
Good luck.

You have to define your problem more precisely, madmel. Exactly at what point does it stop working? Does it give an error code? And so on.
