Did they replace the GPUs in the laters ones? I'm asking because I bought my Wii, like last christmas.

As far as I know, they did.

sometime around July - Sept they changed it, they're using a new Chip Set, I think it's called D2C or something like that...

If the problems happens, and you send it over to Nintendo (btw, they'll repair for free if was bought within a year) they will change the faulty GPU and give it back with a new serial number (with all of your information intact, if you decided not to get a new one from them)... so basically, they will be giving you a new console.

But it's better to prevent than being sorry, an extra cooling fan works wonders.. and always use it with the vertical stand (I think I was the only one who used it horizontally, making the problem worst 🙁 )

ok, to all who are talking about the slim ps2. its only good if its new, but once it gets old, it begins to crap out. my recomendation: buy a 360 or a Wii (i went 360), the only other real options you have is pc games and keep buying 100 dollar slim ps2 to keep them fresh. granted i have my share of pc games but i dont feel like dishing out 100 bucks everytime my ps2 throws a fit. just my opinion, take it or leave it.

This is the most F'ed up consol war ever.

I don't how its going to be topped

Either sell your soul to hand held games or PC games.

Nintendo have denied the rumors of a price cut for the Wii.

However, the rumor refuses to die.

mmm

Interesting.

You guys think Wii might reconsider after seen the sales of GTA on both PS3 and 360?

It would be perfect for a wii price cut for the summer.

I dont see why they should, Wii is still selling like crazy. Isnt it?

I doubt it, just look at sales and how much demand there is for a wii.

Yes it is.

I really doubt they're going to do a pricecut. They don't need to.

Ok cool. Then they wont cut it, because since they still sell every system they make, they would just be cutting profits. Or i could be wrong because I know nothing about this stuff. 😛

That's basically it - Nintendo's been making a profit from the start with the Wii, something that's incredibly rare (PS3 is still selling at a loss and I'm not sure about if the 360 has made any profit yet but I doubt it). And, really...there's no need to do a pricecut. It's the cheapest of the systems and the highest-selling.

Nintendo just have concentrate on there games now, there system is in a safe zone as of now.

Yeah, it would be nice to have more than a handful of interesting Wii games for a change.

Yeah, unfortunately they're still lacking in third-party support. Hopefully that will change, considering how well the system has proven itself.

I think I read somewhere that MS made a profit for the first time from console sales a few months back.

Considering I returned my Wii to be fixed and it will take 60 days and I didnt bat an eye, while my 360 could go in and I dont want to do it because I'll be missing out on some good games. I can say that the Wii has very few good quality games that I want to play.

And then my XBOX 360 just got the dreaded red lights of death.

Mother****er.

the newer 360's dont get the red ring. i know my old one got it bad so i sledgehammered the thing and got a new one. (the fact that i paid like 200 bucks for the first one might have hade something to do with why it was so crappy 😂 )

A newer 360 can still get the red ring.
