It's quite good. All five classes are playable, too, if you use a trick. I played every class once, and Berserker twice, so that should tell you something about the fun to be had.
I dont want to spoil anything til the game comes out, its only a month or so away right?
Is it on XBox Live or did you get it on a game disc?
Since Im on the topic of Live, do they release patches to Silver members or only Gold?

I know, right? I need to go and download it and play it when I actually have time to and am not being distracted by Soul Calibur.
Ahhhh really do not need another game to suck away my life...
And it's a download on Live. Look under new stuff (or whatever it's called) in the Marketplace.

It's on Live. And it doesn't really spoil anything, aside from how fun melee combat is.

What made you pick PS3?
Few things, first, as I said, I don't like the Wii, just don't enjoy their games. And then Sanctuary already has an X-Box, so I can play that. I want to watch Blu-Rays on my new awesome monitor, and I want to run Ubuntu on it also, my friend had it as well as a few games and wanted to get rid of it for an acceptable price ... so it all worked out quite well.

Disc storage is not really required for the 360 for anything but downloading extra content or putting music on your system. A 20GB harddrive is MORE than enough unless you're going to download everything you see and never delete anything.Unlike the PS3, which forces you to install games and has save files that can easily be a full gigabyte. Yeah, you get more storage space, but you're going to need it and it's going to run out fast. A friend of mine, who got a 40GB PS3, ran out of space within a month and a half. And he never even plays the thing.
Very few people buy the Arcade model, btw.
And do you want to actually show any of these charts you speak of?
Oh, and either you count the PC as part of the console war, or you don't. Not only if it's convenient to your argument.
delete what you dont need, if i rent SCIV and it installs on my PS3, when i return, do i need the file? most likely not, it seems like you can take anything good about the PS3 and just turn it negative, like installations to make games have fewer and faster load times, or extra storage space on a disc, or free online.
i didnt post any charts, i posted the numbers once, but yes you are correct i did not post my source, ill find em later.
games that can be found on both PC and 360, are they true exclusives? they arent included in this discussion since it is only console systems, but are games on PC as well as 360 true exclusives?
You forgot to mention Ratchet and Clank Future. and WarHawk i believe has generally positive reviews. You mention Too Human, and Banjo, which arent out, but you fail to mention PS3 games that arent out and should note the potential they have, also Last Remnants is multiplatform

I still haven't finished Lost Odyssey either. And I'm playing SC, I got FFIV for my DS, still need to actually get Lego Indiana Jones (I've had it sitting in the hold bin at work since like...a week after it came out), and then there's just so much stuff coming out this fall that I'm going to be getting - Rock Band 2, Last Remnants, Infinite Undiscovery, Mirror's Edge, PRINCE OF PERSIA 😱, I'll probably end up getting Gears of War 2...
Sheesh. I'm never going to finish ANYTHING at this rate.

Oh, you mean just like how you take everything positive about the 360 and turn it to a negative?
Forgot that Last Remnants is going to be multiplatform.
Well, games that are on the PC and 360 are still published by Microsoft. So it's still exclusive to the same publisher. And what I said stands. Either the PC counts, or it doesn't. You cannot use it if it's convenient but discount it when it's not.
And I don't recall you posting any numbers at all. Go find some sources for your claims if you want anyone to take you even the tiniest bit seriously.

They dont launch together though, GoW has taken a couple of years to port, Mass Effect only took about 6 months but I think its mostly due to Bioware being a PC developer as well that it got ported so fast. At 360 launch, they are exclusive, now....they're not really.

I think its still an exclusive if the game was released on the PC, and if it takes more than a year to be released on the other consoles.
Take Bioshock for example, people who wanted to play it, already have played it so releasing it on the PS3 a year later wont make that much of a difference with console sales.
As for the PC, it has its loyal fanbase, and wont make much of a difference in terms of overall sales against the consoles. The only it will is if the game was ported over to the the consoles months later like FEAR.
Interesting that in EA's financial papers, the 360 generated more revenue than the PS3 in non-GAAP net revenue...
And related to that, software numbers from July.
1. NCAA Football 09 (EA, 360) - 397.6K
2. Wii Fit (Nintendo, Wii) - 369.6K
3. Guitar Hero: On Tour (Activision, DS) - 309.7K
4. Wii Play (Nintendo, Wii) - 284K
5. NCAA Football 09 (EA, PS3) - 242.5K
6. Soulcalibur IV (Namco, 360) - 218.9K
7. Mario Kart Wii (Nintendo, Wii) - 174.5K
8. Rock Band Special Edition Bundle (EA, Wii) - 165.8K
9. Soulcalibur IV (EA, PS3) - 155.8K
10. Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution (Take-Two, 360) - 147.6K

a lot of people own 360s its no doubt, but the ones at my residence/dorm also were those hardcore WoW addicts that use the word "epic fail" and know the combo system in SSBB
Ok, not sure what school you go to, but no one "trashes" their dorms (that would be a frat house).
People have LAN parties frequently (and I'm talking on regular Xbox 3 years ago; OMG the Halo 2 craze was wild) but no one cares too much about the PS3 in general. The 360 just has the best value. College students are buying consoles to play games not watch a pretty movie on Blu Ray.
Me and a group of people play fighting games competievely and generally only use the PS2 (plenty of those still around).
WoW people are around but not in a huge quanity. What has grown the most would me music games like Rock Band.
I just don't see people playing a PS3. That's is my personal college experience but I go to other campuses and it's no different.
I don't wanna get lynched here but:

And as for 360 exclusives vs. PS3 exclusives...the 360 has the following.Halo 3. Think what you will of it (I greatly dislike Halo), it's one of the best selling games of all time.
Mass Effect. Another I personally did not like, but is seen by many who have played it as one of the best games on the system.
Lost Odyssey. The BEST game on the system, as far as I am concerned. The only reason it got mixed reviews and less than stellar sales in the US was because it was a JRPG on the 360. Hence, something very different for that system.
Gears of War. The first killer app on the 360 and one of the best-selling games on the console and in general. A new IP selling as well as it did, with no fanbase to go off of, is phenomenal.
Bioshock. Yes, I will state right now that it is not the innovative game many state it is and having played System Shock 2, I was not surprised by anything in it. However, it is still a great game and easily one of the best on the system. It is now coming to the PS3...well over a year after it originally came out.
Too Human there is a demo out for. I have not played it yet (started downloading the other night and it was interfering with me trying to play online), but GK has played through it multiple times already and keeps pestering me to play it. It will probably be good. Banjo-Kazooie will likely be great as always. Infinite Undiscovery and Last Remnants - once again branching out into JRPGs and bringing something different to the console.
And for the PS3 we have:
- Resistance. A game I have never heard as anything more than just an average shooter; sold well because it was basically the only decent game at the launch of the PS3.
- Heavenly Sword. A six hour long God of War knock off.
- Lair. A game that was all but unplayable until it was patched so that you did not need to use sixaxis to play. Then it became a decent game.
- Warhawk. Has anyone heard anything decent about this game? I certainly haven't.
- Uncharted. A good game, for sure. Very good. But I have also heard that it is, again, far too short.
- Haze. The price on it dropped within a month. Enough said.
- MGS4. Personally, I find MGS massively overrated and boring and have since I played the first one. However, it does still have a massive fanbase. Which is where the sales come from.
And then games that were Sony exclusives that went multiplatform...
Devil May Cry 4. Grand Theft Auto 4 (the release of which was delayed because of the PS3). Assassin's Creed. Final Fantasy XIII, the one game that could have really pushed PS3 sales, more than anything else.
Oh, and...
No, you did not. You never posted any charts or any sources for a single one of your claims.
so your thoughts on those games are based on opinion , but haven't played them yourself, so how can you say which one it's better, which one's good, which one's average?
you find Halo3 overrated, as well as MGS4, but since Halo3 has sold a lot, is ok, but MGS4 only has a huge fanbase, but since you find it boring is not so ok?
they are different games, appeal to different crowds, they're both good, but IMO MGS4 is far better than HALO3, just that to damn filled with cinematics (which btw I absolutely love, but understand why many don't)... that's just my opinion by the way
Uncharted is good, but arguably short... isn't GoW also arguably short?
Warhawk is quite good, too bad is only a online game.
Lair was bad (but it was mostly their fault for forcing you to play with sixasis, when not everyone it's familiar with it). as is HAZE
Resistance could go either way, but it's not fair to dismiss it as not relevant just cause you don't like it... and it's a good game btw, not just average
Lost Odyssey, can't say anything about it, since I haven't played it, but following your logic,(based on reviews) is just another JRPG, a good FF temporal replacement, though not great and a few issues (mostly due to it being a multi DVDs game)... but that's until FFXIII comes out.
and there is: Motorstorm, Ratchet & Clank, GT5...
It all comes down to taste, but take (something I always been saying) Wiiplay: best sold game on Wii. terrible little game and it's a HALO killer (when it comes to sells)... of course it come bundle with a wiimote, but not with the Wii...
😬

One of PS3's biggest selling points is an inbuilt blu ray player, lots of people bought it because it was cheaper than a standalone player. Sales would drop significantly, since 360 is taking a lot of the 'killer apps' from PS3 and blu ray players would be cheap to buy.
I don't know for sure, but wouldn't that mean a price drop for the PS3 as well? 😕

I don't know for sure, again, but since the PSP kinda always battle for the top spot (in Japan) with the Wii and the DS, and since Sony is a japanese company that makes the PSP (and not the games, just some), wouldn't that mean good business for them... though not so good for game developers?
just asking....

Note how only two PS3 games are in the top ten, both are multiplatform, and both are far below their 360 counterparts in gross sales. Huh.
Install base perhaps?... though both versions are in the top ten, and 360 has such a massive install base, but still PS3 versions made the list... huh...

The PSP is hardly a cash disaster like the first year of the PS3- and still a harsh margin on the PS3, to be honest- but like most consoles its a negative margin on its sales; the money comes from games. The exception to this rule is the Wii, which makes healthy margin on boith console and game sales, because it's mad like that. And the DS is pretty cheap too, but in any case has overwhelming game sales.
Still, the PSP has not flopped, so Sony can try again with the next one. People counted Nintendo out the main console war last generation; just goes to show.

That's getting a little desperate as an excuse, really, the PS3 install base is more than enough (and in any case, it only has itself to blame if it isn't taking out the 360s' hold on the market). The fact is that PS3 owners are buying fewer games each and the 360 is very triumphant in software.
