Was the game actually released when they recalled it? Must have wasted a bit of money on production. It was crap that the game got recalled over a song without any explicit content, but we get sex, drugs, profanity and violence in a bunch of other games. srug

The game wasn't yet released when it was recalled, but it had already been shipped to stores (it was a street-dated game). We already had our copies.

Sex, drugs, profanity, and violence aren't generally in games that are rated as being appropriate for everyone, though.

Haha, no 😛 A couple of us decided to check places like Best Buy and Toys R Us since they're known for ignoring street dates and recalls on games and stuff, just to see if they were selling it on accident, but no one was...

Bought Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles for Wii about a week ago.
All I have to say is this game is 100% concentrated SHIT.
The original Resident Evil on PS1 is at least a gazillion times better than this worthless piece of shit.
WTF was Capcom and Nintendo thinking? O_o

Tomorrow, I'll be buying Super Mario Smash Brawl.
And it better not disappoint.
'Cause I swear, by the Gods, if this one does, I'll be throwing away this console to the trash bin.

Well, that would be your opinion, and I can only guess from it that you don't like rail shooters in general.

Having played much of the RE series myself prior, I greatly enjoyed UC, personally. It's a fun, mostly mindless little arcade-style romp. Nice to have when you need to relax.

You got yourself a Wii expecting Hidef textures?...

I'm happy with my Wii, though there aren't many good games on it, it' still got some great titles to offer... and SMG has the best graphic so far on the console... and it only runs at 480p/60hz though it won't ever be HD

Turning RE from a strategic game to a mindless rail shooting no-brainer kind of game was a REAL letdown.
I lost some IQ points (and money) on this game.

Wii would've been fun, back when I was 5 years old.

Time to throw away this garbage. I still have the PS3 anyway.

No. However, they were redesigned to make it much less common. It can still happen, just like anything else can still go wrong with it.

the problem it's much less common, though all 360 are susceptible.

The first elite were kinda regular Xboxs, The elite that came out with HALO 3 had the new Falcon MB (SEP 2007)

The Arcade model come out after HALO, and I heard and seen many people have it RRoD'ed as well

the only way you can compare to a game that hasn't even been released yet is by somehow downloading the game illegally..the only other explanation i can think of is the GTA4 MOD for San Andreas (which obviously uses the same reqs as SA, and therefor cannot be accurately compared to the real GTA4)
