And the bad news is, it's rumored that it CAN'T play PSP games.
What was the point of adding the 'PSP' logo on the phone then?
The 3DS looks promising, but Nintendo's marketing scheme (releasing upgraded models/add-ons in less then a year, like what they did with the original DS and the Wii) makes me think twice before purchasing anything Nintendo-related.
I like my PSP (played many a great RPGs in it), so if Sony ever releases a new PSP, I'd be buying that instead.

Except they didn't. It took two years before they released the DS Lite (the original DS came out in 2004, the DS Lite in 2006), and then 2-3 years before the DSi came out (November 2008 in Japan, April 2009 elsewhere). And the only change to the Wii they've made is the release of the Motion Plus, which happened in mid-2009, nearly three years after the console released, and they didn't start packing that into consoles until May 2010.
Really, if you're going to complain about something...get it right first.

Only change for the Wii was the Motion Plus?
What about Wii Fit, along with the numerous 'add-ons'?
Why do I get the feeling motion sensing does not exist on my PS3 Slim?
Jesus. I even go to the "calibrate motion controller" option under my PS3 settings and when it says press x on the controller I want to calibrate, and I press x on my DualShock 3...nothing. How retarded.
Thought maybe Sony idiotically had to make it where the customer had to figure out to go to a certain setting in Settings (Settings -> Accessory Settings...) to have the PS3 do a bluetooth scan, so the bluetooth controller can get "recognized" at least as far as it's motion sensing is concerned (I mean, trying to get help online or calling their support team, as always, reaps little to no support at all, so might as well shoot in the dark). I'm not sure what's going on. If anything, they should've made it part of the intial setup to let you test out the motion sensor to let you know it works, kind of like how a webcam lets you talk into it and replay your voice to see if it works.
I recently wanted to play Heavy Rain again, it had to download and install an update, and when I started the game for some reason it was controllable only by the move (well not completely, I could get to the start of the game, but then it told me, connect "your useless accessory you don't own now", I wasn't too bend on playing so I just turned it off without investigating, but I am pretty sure there was no "Do you want to play standard or new fancy mode" question. Did that happen to anyone else? Did I just miss where I can play the game with the standard controller as I did before?
Sony Developing Hack-Proof PS3?
Price reduction on older models may also be incoming.
Sony is currently working on a 'hack-proof' PlayStation 3 as a counter-measure against recent piracy concerns, according to EverythingHQ.An anonymous 'insider' source says, "Sony are already deep into plans of developing a hack-proof PS3 system. This is mainly due to the recent leaks of Killzone 3 which has worried Sony of their console becoming a mainstream threat to piracy."
The new model PS3 will reportedly have the current slim design, a 300GB hard drive, an undisclosed anti-hacking system, and a mooted price point of £186.99/$300.
Current models of the PS3 could also see a price cut as Sony hopes to clear out the old hackable models from retailers to make way for the new console.
A release date has yet to be set for the new as-yet-unconfirmed model as Sony will be looking to resolve its court case against PS3 hacker George Hotz before making a final decision.
Good. A price cut would also be appreciated
This and PSN bans it's the way to go
You cannot erase the internet, SONY
More of this and less of their idiotic scare tactics

The DSi XL came out a full year later, not a couple months later. The Wii Fit board is only required for the Wii Fit games, and only a small handful of games make any use of it. It is not a change to the system, it's an accessory.
