In the article Miyamoto is saying the PS3 cost was a big shock even tho he knew it would cost a lot of money. Good article by the way, should take the time to read.

hmm....my parents hated the ps2..cause my bro bought it when it was still 400-500 aussie bucks...it was a good system, but he went to boarding school so i was left without a game console...then came the gamcube, and i was saved...thats why i like nintendo...oh and conkers bad fur day and smash bros played a big part too...
