The tilt sensor IS a joke. It's horribly obvious the whole idea was meant to counter Wii's real motion sensitivity, and yet it's even more obvious that the idea was rushed, hence only a single game demo having anything to do with it.
Oh, and you DO know that more than a few third party developers are worried about the PS3 price tag, right? They are very much favoring the Wii at the moment.

No it's not reasonable. No one uses the tech yet, most people don't even know it exists, and thus there's no need for it.
There's been rumors for months that FF13 - the only reason I'd buy a PS3 - won't even be on PS3. MGS and Warhawk - not my thing. Zelda, Mario, Metroid - definitely the sort of things I'd rather play.
No game's controls are easy the first time you pick it up. And I want decent graphics with great games and gameplay. I couldn't care less if they're all pretty and shiny if the gameplay and the game itself is shit. HD? Who cares? I don't have HD, and probably won't for a long damn time, because it's not important and I shouldn't have to drop a grand on a new TV to play video games on.
And I can't believe you think $600 for a system is reasonable. But then again, according to your profile, you're only 13. Your parents probably pay for all your games for you, so what do you care what it costs?

People are getting real stupid about this because Sony is using what the media industry calls "buzzwords." The two buzzwords that have caught you are Blu-ray and HD.
1. Blu-ray is just another format. It's also more expensive to make than HD-DVDs, which are what Microsoft is pushing. If there's enough 13-year-olds out there whose parents will buy a $600 system for them, then Blu-ray will win. But HD-DVDs, being cheaper to make, are the more likely to be favored overall.
2. HD. High-Definition picture does NOTHING if you don't have a TV capable of putting it out. In fact, as many 360 buyers found out, an HD picture can look worse than a non-HD if you are using an average TV. I'm willing to bet that your TV is not HD. Because nearly all of the TVs owned in the US alone are mostly non-HD sets.
Of course, Sony's not going to tell anyone that. They're going to gloss over the fact that HDTVs make up only a tiny percent of TVs owned, and simply give you hopeful projections that in the next few years HDTVs will be in more households. So they're essentially telling you to buy a console NOW that you won't be able to fully utilize until LATER. YEARS later.
As for the Nintendo graphics thing, I'm not going to argue with that, because yes, the Wii is not HD. Know why? Because Nintendo knows that very, VERY few people have HDTVs right now, and they would rather focus on what you buy a gaming system for: GAMES. And they're also focusing on why people play games: for FUN.
Has anyone ever told you to play a game because the textures are really nice? Or do they say to play a game because it's FUN TO PLAY?

Sony plans to make it so that buying a PS3 game actually buys you a license to play that game. Once you put the disc into the PS3, that disc is encoded to that console, and it will not play on any other console. Ever.
Which means there will be no renting. If you want to play a game, you'll have to shell out $60 for it, even if it sucks. Because you won't be able to return them to stores after you've played them. Or sell them on eBay, for that matter.
You won't be able to bring a game to a friend's house either, unless you wanna lug your console round with you. Great plan, huh? And guess what? The only ones who benefit from this are, surprise surprise, Sony alone.
In answer, Hydra, I haven't heard anything since the initial reports, but everyone who's heard about it that I've talked to pretty much agrees that it will contribute to killing the PS3.
Indeed. If Sony goes with this plan they are soooooooooo f*cked. I almost don't want to buy a PS3 just because their THINKING about doing something like that.
Goes to show why Nintendo's better... So your saying buy a PS3 when it comes out so that about 90% of people who dont own an HDTV will have to now wait 2-3 years when the price of an HDTV drops so they can get their moneys worth out of the system along with the Blu-Ray?

If anything, FF13 will probably be multiplatform, most likely PS3 and 360. But whether that happens or not, Square Enix is too smart a company to waste their biggest-selling franchise on a PS3-only deal, and I can guarantee that "numbered" FFs will continue on consoles other than the PS3.
Anyone calling Zelda, Mario, or Metroid "crap" is revealing their own biased stupidity, because they've obviously not played any of those games, at least recently. The reason those series are company franchises is because the original games were hits, and the series have been giving out successful hits through two decades. So since Nintendo hit upon winning formulas back then and has managed to stay true to that spirit this long, the games are "crap" and "old"?
Oh, and you want Nintendo to make new franchises and be successful with those? How about Pokemon, which swept the entire world, pushed Game Boy Pockets, Colors, and Advances, and has now reached 20 games in less than a decade? How about Super Smash Bros., which sold more 64's, and started the Gamecube off strong with Melee, which is STILL one of the top ten best-selling games for the GC?
You say yourself that HD will only be important in "2-3 years," well why doesn't Sony release an HD console then, when the majority of people will actually have a use for it? I know Mircosoft is guilty of this too, but MS isn't charging $600 simply for the fact that it's HD, which shows that the tech should NOT be as expensive as Sony insists it is.
By "all these years" you mean one year and three months, right? Because that's the full amount on time that the PS3 has been announced (actually two days shy of that, but why get technical).
Also, you either have no idea what an HDTV costs, or whatever TV you're planning on getting will be really small. The PS3 and a couple games will take more than $700 out of that money, leaving you with less than $1300 for the TV.
$1300 will not buy an average HDTV.
As someone who actually does work for his own money, and pays his part of the house and utility bills, I can tell you that $2000 is a tiny amount of money.
Oh, and you keep saying rumors are wrong. Mind showing some sources to support your point, or will it be impossible to find any?
