But, I don't hate mormons, in fact, I think they suffer from the same delusions as any other christian sect.

Sounds like stuff anti-Mormons come up with in conjunction to ignorant Mormons.
Do you just listen to anti-Mormons or do you actually study the facts? no...facts are not something you read off of an anti-Mormon website either...or something you here from the mouth of a traveling Baptist preacher whose primary preaching consists of Mormon bashing.
Despite the fact the Bruce R McKonkie snuck in his little tid bit about the peopls of the BoM being the primary ancesotrs of the American Indians (which was not consulted on with the others of the Quorum of the Twelve and First Presidency and yet to be removed from the foreward) here is what he had to say:
"Bruce R. McConkie's Opinion in Mormon Doctrine: Native Americans Not Purely Hebraic
While Bruce R. McConkie apparently believed that Hebraic ancestry was highly significant among Native Americans, he also recognized that they shared non-Hebraic ancestry, according to his personal views offered in Mormon Doctrine (Salt Lake City: Bookcraft, 1973, p. 33):
"The American Indians . . . as Columbus found them also had other blood than that of Israel in their veins. It is possible that isolated remnants of the Jaredites may have lived through the period of destruction in which millions of their fellows perished. It is quite apparent that groups of orientals found their way over the Bering Strait and gradually moved southward to mix with the Indian peoples. We have records of a colony of Scandinavians attempting to set up a settlement in America some 500 years before Columbus. There are archeological indications that an unspecified number of groups of people probably found their way from the old to the new world in pre-Columbian times. Out of all these groups would have come the American Indians as they were discovered in the 15th century."
As you can see, even someone who tried to put their own ideals into the minds of Mormons doesn't share the common anti-Mormon misconception that we believe American Indians are the sole ancestors of Lehi and his family...that is simply absurd.
Yes, a Mormon apostle can make a scholarly mistake. Yes, our church is still lead by MEN who officiate on the Lord's behalf. MEN are bound to make mistakes.
Should we focus on the mistakes of some prominent anti-Mormon authors?

Still doesn't mean you are innocent. Sure, Joseph Smith was innocent, but...how should I say this?
AHA! Found a way to say it!

With all religions, I tend to avert my attention to the time in which they have existed. I see a trend in the amount of different religions blossoming from the creative mind's of everyone on this planet and in history. And looking back on history, we hear about gods like Zeus, Ares, Apollo, Hades, etc.. Then the Native Americans with their praying to the 4 directions, the Great Spirit, and Mother Earth. Then we have Muslims, Jews, Christians, Mormons.. etc..
What makes it all "mumbo jumbo" to me is the fact that they just keep popping up. Nothing has happened for these religions to just emerge from the woodwork. Scientology, I mean WTF... Just another one, but someday, stupid it may seem today, if it stands the time of a thousand years people will forget how stupid it is and it will become like Christianity, or Mormonism, etc..
Quit lying to yourselves. There is no magic man in the sky strumming a golden harp on a cloud. There is nothing except for whatever we conjure in our minds and speak aloud to some idiot next to us to believe. Stop spreading lies.

It's more complicated then that. Religion is a natural product of humanity. It also gives people an advantage. Religions help people work together.

I happen to agree with all the points made.
It is more complicated than my brief synopsis. I didnt mention dates or many other specifics.
Religion is a natural product of humanity, in particular our imaginations.
It does give people an advantage. Spiritual healing is common and proven to work in some cases.
And religions help people work together. Yes you are correct, but they also cause war. From the Crusades to the present situation with Iraq, and many other places across the globe, religion continues to cause great hostility amongst the people and is a BIG PROBLEM everywhere.
Not all these religions are right, and according to each and every one of them, there can be only one- Highlander 😛
Anyways, Religion is a two way street. It helps and it hurts. I just think spirituality is a means of coping with the hardships of life. Some people embrace religion without a doubt, while others label it nonsense and see it as a tool to being happy. It has its uses, but it is simply not TRUTH.

You open your response by telling me I don't know what I'm talking about and then go on to validate what I said?
That's a lot of explaining something that doesn't exist.
Someone should start a religion based on the fact that there are too many. So you go to your church, synagogue, temple, w/e have you and you pray to every god that has ever been made up or mentioned just to be safe.
Admit there are just too many lies out there to figure out which is truth, if any. My religion sounds the best. And I will go down as Rainx the Great, a prophet.
Who's comin with me!?

I was just wondering if anyone here is LDS, like i am, or want's to talk to me about it.First if your not mormon i want to share some things with you! 😄
Mormon is just a nickname, the real title is
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We are Christians.
We are not poligamists (in fact if you practice poligamy you are discomunicated (blocked off the church records))
We do not live like the omish (haha i'm using a computer!!) 🙄
We do not hate non-mormons.... I don't know your experiences but...
Any other questions??
Let me know, I don't bite!😉
Hmm... If it wouldn't be too mutch to aks, could I have a quick run-down on what you believe, or some good reaources to start my own research on morman beliefs? Thanks.

... Yea, that'll work... That is, unless the true God is the Judaic/Christian God, or the Islamic God, then you are totally screwed... Of, course, then you have the Atheistic belief that there is no God, and then, you're just wasting your life.

I see where you are coming from with saying "unless the true God is the Judaic/Christian God, or the Islamic God, then you are really screwed," but honestly my friend, people did not have the amount of fallacies and lies we had growing up. We are taught what our teachers tell us and what our governments decide is politically correct. We are supposed to have freedom of religion, and although we may have as close as we're going to get to freedom of religion, we will not be free of it's influence.
Christians play the nicey nice card when judging other's beliefs, but really they just as closed-minded as any other radical Islam believer.
Which dampens my outlook on all religions in general. We hear speak of the Anti-Christ and seem to think they are the bad guys in comparison to the oh-so-good Christians, yet what are they doing that other Christians have not done?
You rarely hear of them! What I do see is Catholic priests touching little girls n' boys, Mormons f'in each other in the A's, and Muslims blowing up innocent men, women, and children b/c they want 40 f'in virgins in heaven!
Religion truly is BS. There is no way to prove you are more right than I, you have no proof.

And why does everyone seem to think Atheists are just wasting their life?
Just because God did not create the universe does not mean there is no point to my life. Everything I do in my life, I do b/c it is me. So, let's target happiness. What makes me happy? Hmm, traveling hte world, learning about people's cultures/traditions, working out, f'in women, and being with my family and friends.
Just because I don't have a God to look to to govern my moral compass doesn't make my life any less important as the next. You, pry Christian or some other stupidass religion, have proved you are closed-minded just by your assuming Im Atheist, and then even moreso by assuming an Atheist's beliefs mean you are just wasting your life.
For the record, I am Agnostic. I admit I don't know either or, however I have more doubts about religion the more they just come out with a new one like some Hollywood Fad Diet or w/e analogy you wanna throw at it. It's all complete and utter BS.
Do not believe blindly! Question what is truth and don't make your decisions set in stone! Things change, new truths are discovered, and those who have the most open-mind will be able to see b/c their eyes have never shut.
Religions hate on you for questioning, just like they hate on your for whackin it when God forbid you have a boner! Do what your heart tells you! My heart literally tells me, with all the blood it pumps to that area, that YES YOU SHOULD! YES YES YOU SHOULD!
