That's a lot of explaining something that doesn't exist.

I know that there are Mormons, even high ups, who think that the one small family made ALL of the American Indians. (North and South America.) That is not ignorance; if you read the BoM, you can tell that there were others BESIDES Jaredites and Mulekites already here.

I posted the words of Bruce R. McKonkie, who was a proponent of the Lamanites being the primary ancestors of the American Indians, because even HE admitted that it was impossible for that to happen. Bruce was a very wise pious man, but like all men, he had his own ideas that were not necessarily true. (He also thought that man would never go to the moon.)

It is quite easy to see from reading the BoM that there were others already in the Americas when Lehi and his family arrived.

No, it's far worse. I think some of them are arrogant and dismissive. That is far worse then ignorant and unwilling to admit to it.
