So mote it be means the same as "And let it be done."...Kinda like Amen. ๐Ÿ˜‚ I got your joke...... ๐Ÿ˜ˆ

I know what it means Debbiejo. I was saying it ...as in agreement with what you said. Kinda like...when someone says "Amen" and everyone in agreement says, "Amen".

๐Ÿ˜‚

I meant that I read that before meaning the whole thing you said there. I used to practice Wiccan. Not 100%, but enough to know a few things. I find Wiccan fascinating.

Oh.

I find it interesting also, though I am not a wiccan...

Two Mormon missionaries are walking down the street one sunny morning. Coming from the opposite direction is a Priest. As they meet the Priest says, "Good morning, Sons of the Devil." The Mormon missionaries reply, "Good morning Father."

hysterical OMG! Someone told that joke in Sacrament meeting....everyone nearly died laughing!

If some of you don't get it...look for key words there. The Priest called them "Sons" and they called him "Father" implying what class?

He called them sons of the devil...so they were basically being smartie pants and called him Dad....implying that he was the devil. It's just a play on words.

For thse who are attacking the Polygamist ways of the church in it's early years, you should read this:

"In this one-woman play, dramatist and historian Joan Oviatt portrays the inspiring story of Emmeline Blanche Woodward Harris Whitney Wells - fifth Relief Society General President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and one of the most influential women of the 19th century. Friend of suffragist Susan B. Anthony, Emmeline was entertained by Queen Victoria and received a personal visit from President Woodrow Wilson.

The play shows Emmeline's triumph over solitude, depression, social ridicule, and religious persecution. It tells of her need to be loved and her struggle to find her place in the world. As a talented writer and editor of a popular magazine called the Woman's Exponent, Emmeline spoke out nationally on women's rights and challenged misconceptions about LDS women. Emmeline was born in an era when women were considered legal property and lived to see them vote. She was part of the pioneer struggle for survival and live to see motor-powered automobiles. Her life fulfilled a blessing she received at age 15, which promised, "You will live to do a work that has never been done by a woman since the creation.""

I was watching it on T.V., it's called "Sixth Wife". It was really thouching to hear accounts of this woman, she was really cool. Not the kind of mindless yahoo a lot of you guys picture as a polygamist huh?

๐Ÿ˜›

They've talked about her often in my mormon church group. She was a good woman, don't agree with her on many issues but defintley one of my favorite mormon historic figures.

And I've never imagined polygamists as mindless yahoos.

You can be true, you can be false

Socrates and Milhous Nixon
Both went the same way - through the kitchen
