i am not talking about the mach 3 thing. i told you to forget it because i don't have the issue where she has done it and you won't believe it w/out proof, so why keep bringing it up.
stormfront means that they said storm was one of the fastest fliers in the marvel universe on UXN. something i never saw, something that can't be substantiated, and something that has no real pull within the MU anyway.
i was talking about cannonball being one of the fastest flyers in marvel. claremont, brevonnant(spelling??), slott, and whendon all commented he was one of the fastest, but considering he isn't that popular, people never get a chance to see his speed.
A) I doubt Claremont - senile as he is - took into account the distance between New York and New Orleans. B) The distance between New Orleans and New York is around 1,200 miles. There is no actual indication of speed or time in the incident but if she travelled the distance in minutes it makes the incident utter BS. If we take for instance 6 minutes, for ease of calculation, she travelled at 12,000 mph or approximately Mach 15.

there you go again, depowering storm for your own purposes. i doubt it was 6 minutes, but she goes well over 300 mph all the time. it sounds like it couldn't happen, but it does. this isn't the first time she has done something like this either. also, in x-men VS dracula, storm flies from new york to england in around half a day, while having fun doing it. she's doing flips and everything. and when she gets to england, she's not even tired from the trip. she leaves very, very early in the morning, and gets there in what looks like the middle of the day.
alright, i'm very convinced that stormfront is stormbreaker, now...
way i hear it, storm nearly PASSES OUT after getting there. boasting about your favorite character is one thing, but when it changes the facts, it's another entirely, and it degrades your whole argument. how you get that storm "often" travels at 300+ miles per hour is beyond me, considering there's absolutely no measure, and she's hardly ever flying for speed anymore. she just hovers around battlefields and whatnot...

which trip are you talking about? the one when she went to new york, or the one where she went to england? because i have the issue where she went to england and in the comic, she is laughing and doing flips before she lands, then she explodes a door with her ligthning. then she goes in and is attacked by dracula, and is knocked unconsious, but she wasn't unconsious from her trip, she was unconsious from dracula doing something inside her body that made her pass out. in fact after she lands the comic states that storm is still not lacking in power. if you are refering to schism, then I'll have to look it up.

It's 1,312 miles from New Orleans to New York to even travel that distence in an hour would mean you were traveling at 1,312 mph in the simplest calculations. That's nearly Mach 2. . .

I think passenger jets fly at about 1,500 miles per hour. . . but that might be coporate hype from the website talking about their jet in order to sell them to investors. . . because that is faster than mach 2, which obviously would break the saound barrier and cause a sonic boom. . .that generally doesn't happen.

No, I think the Concorde's did have cruising speeds around Mach 2. Although I don't know if they regularly used those speeds on passenger flights.
But even if she did manage to pull off this stunt. . . would the sonic boom effect her? and how many times has she done something like this?
Because hey Namor had to do it multiple times for it to count too right? So shouldn't Storm have to as well?
