I'm glad that they did write a story like that, because it's very possible. I think it's what the Supreme Power story in Marvel MAX was trying to get across. It's hard to be that powerful and not go nuts. Maybe for me, it seems like they're elevating Superman to a point that he doesn't deserve with the new movie. It seems like they're trying to make him look like a god, when all he's ever wanted it seems is to be human. Also, there's something about web-swinging and doing flips and all that stuff that just appeals to me. I also like the genius level intellect.
Superman is not the ultimate superhero. You have to be pure of heart and mind first of all. He isn't neither. He got drunk off his ass in Superman III and hurt a lot of innocent people. There are also numerous times in the comics where he goes BAD. The ultimate superhero can't have weaknesses. Superman has many. Green rocks and yellow suns to name a few. An ultimate superhero also would be an ultimate fighter. Superman can fight, but he a'nt no martial arts master nor has he dedicated his life to fighting and training and constantly becoming stronger and literally yearning for more and MORE. Ultimate superheros don't get defeated either. Superman got whupped by Doomsday. Ultimate superheros can destroy planets, solar systems. Superman can't do this. Superman is a GREAT superhero, and top 10 of all time.......but GOKU from DBZ is the ultimate superhero. He's more pure, he's way kinder and gentler and truly tries to show mercy to ALL of his enemies he faces. He is also a master of martial arts, moves at the speed of light, and has NO WEAKNESSES. He can also destroy a planet with a single blast. Can superman do this? No. Superman has a whole bunch more cooler powers(heat vision, ice breath, xray) but those would be negated and would have no effect in a match up. Superman is good. Goku is best.

It's a good thing the movie isn't cannon. As far as the comics are concerned, the only times I've seen Supes gone bad were alternate realities, which aren't cannon.

Kryptonite is still a weakness, but it doesn't paralyze him anymore. It would take a lot of kryptonite to put Superman down and even then, he would still keep going. He fought an army under 40x gravity under red sun and General Zod (Superman's physical equal) under a red sun.

There's no such thing as an unbeatable hero. Every hero has been defeated. Even Goku. And there is nothing wrong with Doomsday beating up Superman. He is physically superior to him. Oh, Pre-Crisis Superman sneezed away a galaxy. The magic powder did not enhace his sneezing power. Post-crisis can probably destroy a planet, but not a sun like he used to.

Goku without IT, cannot move at the speed of light. He has never shown that speed. If you think Goku is the ultimate, I have no problem with that. However, there are people that can beat him.
A Hero By Many
The character has his own personality and story but he is fiction and all he says comes from other minds not his. If you are smart you realize that he sounds funny. Another thing, when he handles heavy weights it is mostly incorrect by not grabbing the objects properly or keep them on balance.

Superheros, no matter how grand, have at least 1 weakness. Name one superhero or villain for that matter, that doesn't have a weakness. And the Sun's his weakness? It's what gives him life!
Why would Superman dedicate his life to training in a strategic way to harm people in a confrontation. Superman is a person who would rather take you in or stop you rather than go toe to toe with an enemy just for the hell of it.

I think superman is a good role model for would be heroes but he is nowhere near the ultimate hero.
The ultimate hero is one who strives to always do whats right despite things being difficult despite facing many injuries and mountains on their way and despite having their own version of kryptonite shoved in their face 24/7.
Whereas superman fulfils none of this criteria as he is a fictional character.

Besides, Superman will be dead soon. Isn't he getting old? What is he like 55? SuperSaiyans also age much much slower than kryptonians. Goku was transformed back into a kid, and can still go SSJ4. Just imagine in 20 years when he's as old as he was at the end of DBZ. And do you watch DBGT? OMG, these guys have ridiculous power. At the end when Goku swallows the 7 Dark dragon balls of the galaxy and takes in the celestial dragon into his body and reaches his all time high, he becomes the most powerful entity EVER. And just like I said, when he reaches this level, he probably would destroy atleast half of the DC characters..............OH YES, at the same time.

No, you're wrong. Goku was not powerful enough to beat Cell. Goku's whole plan relied on Gohan reaching SSJ2 because Goku knew he couldn't get powerful enough in time.

Goku still lost that fight fair and square. He was not moving at all while Vegeta kept fighting everyone else.

He did kill Buu, but in Buu outlasted Goku one on one. Goku is not undefeated.
