superman prime is the ultimate. his poweers are godlike, he moves faster than the speed of light, and he has the last glc ring on his finger.

well most versions of superman can exceed light, the current version is seemingly doing it in his comics now.

I thought he had like five? plus he apparantly doesn't need the ring, but it is a weapon he chooses to weild... or something like that , anyone got any scans!!

I think they get the right amount. Besides Supes, what else did they ever do? I give them credit for making a hero when everybody needed one & standards were low, but it's not like they're Stan Lee or something. Now that's the guy to respect.

anime characters are completely off the map with their powers, unfair to cross superman with these characters designed to be completely over the top maniacs... although i'd still say superman would beat them... just not the usual way, maybe trickery or manipulating them into doing something stupid, although that's batmans forte, he hangs around with the guy long enough to act like him a little.

Meh there are plenty of Anime characters that could out smart him too (Yuki Nagato is a personal favorite character of mine, see the I killed superman thread)

But I just looked at the first post and if this is in terms of fame and influence it's Superman

PS: Brainchild is right Wizard listed Spider-Man number 1 "character" in comics. Notice I said character they were not talking about superheroes.
By the way Superman was listed 5th. Batman was 2nd and Magneto 3rd.

& you'd have been right. Spidey admires the guy. Supes is famous because he's one of the 1st. He's not really that great of a character @ the end of the day. All of the characters put ahead of him are better & probably some of those who weren't.
