I save everything on new blocks, so I can replay anything I want. I saved Ada in it's own block also. Hell, I bought a memory card mainly for this game, I used like 100 blocks. 😛
2nd: when the game detects the memory card it loads the new menu screen, and go to Extras for Separate Ways, Mercenaries, Movie Browser, and Assignment Ada
I watched a review yesterday and they compared the playstation 2 version to the gamecube version and they said that the graphics were still very good on the playstation 2 and that the gamecube version was only slightly better.
It's also been called the best Playstation 2 game of the year and the best looking Playstation 2 game of the year.
I've always been pondering in the back of my mind whether I should get this game or not, but I have seen the whole ending to the game twice and the second time was yesterday and it showed more than the first , so i've seen the complete final ending and so I probably should just skip this one anyway.
is it comprehensible.....

JTo, so you mean evenif you save in different blocks, you'll still get the Chicago Typewriter in your main game once you finish Separate Ways?Sorry, man, Im desperate!
The game will load everything as long as the memory card has a completed file on it. Beating Separate Ways gets the CT in Leon's game, to get it in Separate Ways you have to beat Assignment Ada.
I got it recently for my PS2. It's an excelent game, except ... it's not very scary, is it? More of an unusually tense action game than a survival horror game. Still, it's better than the other Resident Evil games I've played, where the horror is not so much, "Oh my god, zombies!" as "Ah, shit, I'm going to run out of ammo. I'll have to restart from my last save point; I don't want to play through this stupid area again. **** this, I wonder what's on TV." I am completely unable to understand how that franchise survived long enough to spawn RE4.
For those who are considering getting it for the PS2, I can't compare it to the Game Cube version, not having a Game Cube. But the graphics are excellent (if you listen really closely, you can actually hear me not caring about them being a little worse than in the Game Cube version; if I was that concerned about graphics, I wouldn't have gotten a PS2 in the first place), the controls are excellent (this is the first game I've ever played where RE-style use-the-analogue-stick-to-turn-and-go-forwards controls have worked for me, instead of just pissing me off), and it's just an wonderful game over-all, so you ought to get it for at least one system.
PS: If you really care that much, you can see the PS2 and GC graphics compared side-by-side here. For me, it just confirms what a complete non-issue it is, but I'm sure there are people for whome Leon's hair being a little darker will completely ruin the game. Oh well.

its worth checking out at least, its a really good game. i borrowed my friends gamecube so i could beat it cuz i liked it so much. try renting it, i havent played very many gamecube games but so far thats my favourite.
lol, you better not go back into past pages of this thread b/c you'll really be bombarded with graphical arguments over and over again.
Even though since I have both systems, I must admit I would get it for the Gamecube, but since I don't plan on getting the game, it's not an issue.

You really should get it for one system or the other. Are you the person (I could check, but that would mean going back and trying to read this abortion of a thread) who isn't bying it because he's seen the ending? If this were Silent Hill or something, that might make sense. But Resident Evil 4 isn't about the story; the story is ludacrous anyway. It's all about the gameplay, which kicks serious ass.
