Resident Evil 4 on Ps2

And I wouldn't be able to handle the gameplay.
Like I said above, while Playing Resident Evil Zero, my stomache would cramp up in pain, just with the anticipation of a zombie moaning and popping out somewhere and all of the other creatures, and I didn't even make it off the train, and so I got a guide for the whole game and after reading what was to come and having to go through the whole mansion, that really got to me and even knowing what was coming didn't ease up my tension, so i had to stop.
And I didn't like how you had to control two characters and keep track of them, that didn't help at all.

is it comprehensible.....

I recently bought this game for Gamecube and I'm loving it. The AI is excellent and it is truly freaky when one of those villagers sneaks up behind you, too awesome!

Right now, I'm at the point where you choose two paths: one path is with a bunch of villagers and chainsaw grannies, the other is with another of those huge Lord of the Rings type creatures. Has anyone found one easier than the other?

Go down the giant path, but don't fight him. When he first appears, shoot the bolder Ashley points to, and run forward (you have to smash down the door); in the next area, run forward, duck into the second house, grab the key (you might be hit going out, and you'll have to retry if he hits Ashley instead of you, because she can't take that sort of damage), run forward--I don't remember if you have to shoot the second bolder--and use the key to escape. It's been a while since I've played that part, so the details might be incorrect, but if you use that basic strategy, you'll save a lot of ammo.

Got this game for christmas, downside is i dont have a PS2 here (NZ), so i have to wait till i get back to the UK to play it. Never played it on the cube, so i get to see what all the fuss is about for myself, im looking forward to it.

dude the second chain saw incounter i cant get past cause i only have a 10 rounds for my 9 mm 6 shotgun shells one of those gernades that sets things on fire and 8 rifle rounds

Do you have a rifle? If so, shoot him from afar.

When two other ugly Ganados show up, shoot em with your handgun, when the Dr. Salvador gets back up, keep shooting it with your rifle, when he gets too close, use your shotgun.

Use the grenade to the Ganados blocking your way to the village.

When did chainsaw guy get a name?

Anyway, I think he just drops money, so if nothing else, you could try just dropping him with a leg shot and running.

His name shows up when you unlock his Bottle Cap from the Shooting Range.

As well as other peoples names like...Maria and San Pedro or something! WTF?!

A few questions I civilly asked but didn't get answered before:

A) Why do these additions that have no bearing on the story, make it a better game to you or those who believe it is? As I asked before.

B) Why make it darker, then give them flashlights? This is pointless.

C) Why are outfits and guns reason to buy it again? You get new outfits in the original game.

D) Is being able to kill Ashley (with once again, no bearing on the final story) going to make it a better game? (It's not, but if you believe so, explain why).

E) What's this "new" boss?

F) Why are you citing TV settings as a pro for this game?

G) For anyone feeling fooled, they're not really "new" areas. They don't add any story to the game. It's just Assignment Ada but longer.

You obviously still wanna discuss the game, so I don't know why you wouldn't reply to me.

I'm not instigating, just asking.

I see your point.

I own both a ps2 and a gc and until recently I had never purchsed re4. So knowing what both game feature helped me in my decision as to what console to purchase the console on. I got it on gc bc I think ps2 is a piece of crap, but I will be getting dmc3 se when its released here in a couple of weeks. I am glad capcom went the sega route when they released vf4 evo as the greatest hits version of vf4.

it wasnt to hard for me to beat him the first time with the 9mm

Ayt. JTo, youve been really helpful.

And yes, indeed, RE4 is probably one of the best games in Ps2 history.

I try my best 😄

Since this thread is sort of back from the dead, I'd just like to point out that the PS2 additions have exactly as much bearing on the story as the Game Cube's graphical edge.

i like the controller for the gamecube, just for this game tho. any other game that ive played i couldnt stand it. ps2 has my all time favourite otherwise, without a doubt.

I got this game for Christmas, but I'm not that far still. I've been playing it recently though, and it's pretty awesome. I'm heading back to the Church to rescue the President's daughter. Do you guys know which part I'm talking about?

My friend got this game for Xmas for the PS2 and the graphical quality is noticeably less on the PS2. The backgrounds aren't nearly as lush or vibrant, and much of it is shadowed out.

However, everything in the forground looks only slightly worse, you'd really have to strain to notice.

Also the new ada mission is pretty neat, apparantly answers some little questions that some may have after beating the normal game.

There are boxes loads of them, you gotta make your way through one by one, dropping them, and big ugly biaaatch wants to kill me. Damn man it's so comlicated. Let me try again. There are container look a likes in the air or something (hanging on lances maybe) each container is like a room, drop one, you go to the next. And big ugly zombie shothead wants to kill you, who you cant kill even with a granade luncher.
aaah, u are fighting "It", hmm that one was a hard one. Just run and dodge him, however u need to shoot at the buttons to open the next cage, without ammo that would be hard.

Continued from closed thread.

I made it.... And that was the only tough one, suppose only coz of the running and stuff like that. I completed the game. How long would it take to complete Separate Ways?? All 5 chapters?

man i still cant kill the second chainsaw guy that u encounter i even ran back through the house and amde him run into dynomite and that didnt stop him so i threw to gernades and i use shotgun my shotgun with only 7 shells and then my pistol with a total of 14 and my rifle a total of seven and he still stands

Use flash or Incendary grenade. If you used Flash, kick him down, if Incendary shoot him with handgun, when he rises shoot his eye twice he will be stunned, kick him. If you use shotgun just blast him when he stands. I can beat them with an un-upgraded shotgun & handgun with 3 shells, 10 bullets and one incendary/grenade.

well i aint u
