I don't know what esoteric means

RE4 was good, except it pisses me off thatSpoiler:After all that, it seems like Leon would be aching for some. I also like the endings to FF7, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and Paper Mario
Leon turned down Ashleys offer to put in some "overtime" at her apartment.
Yeah, because we all that's what we want to see. A image of a bedroom with banging sound coming from inside and Mario screaming "MAMA-MIA" 😂
Yeah its true, MGS endings can be insanely hard to understand even if you've watched all the cut-scenes.. I mean in MGS2 the real purpose of the whole mission is explained just before the last boss fight.
I'd have to say the best endings in games are the ones that belong to a series, e.g Mgs (all three had very good endings, with lots of twists and unexpected confusing stuff), Silent Hill (endings were usually dramatic with a lot of meaning in them) and Final Fantasy (very climactic endings as well).
Someone said they liked the Grandia ending. Now, don't get me wrong, that was an amazing game and i really liked it, but I hated the ending. The final boss and all that stuff was really good, and I liked the atmosphere at the end because it was really sad, and everyone had lost hope and given up.. And when you think of how the game started, it shows how radically different everything is. But all the stuff about only being able to beat it with love or whatever is just so lame.
MGS, is less confusing, more contrived in my opinion.
Yes, I understand them, doesn't mean I don't find their "meaning" irrelevant and ultimately stupid considerring the fact I've been slashing people to death with a ninja sword for the past half an hour, blowing up tanks, twatting robots in the face with rockets and fighting a man made of bees for the rest of that time. To suddenly have all this Japanese philosophical meanderring dialogue every five minutes is just plain laughable.
Reloading a clip as you get ready to off the 50th guard that stumbles across your wrath of rage? Get ready for some codec with your fiance about commitment! Just beat the shit out of a ninja man with tenacle arms that fire rockets, on the top of a ship thats just crashed it's way though a city? Get ready to have a half hour lecture about censorship and freedom of speech.
Seriously, I'm all for intelligence in games, but come on. I hope MGS4 waters down the transparent sixth form philosophy crap. Less is more.

Umm.......I was referrring to Leon Kennedy from RE4, not Mario.
I know. I was just joking. It just sounded like all heroes from games want to get laid at the end.

I don't know if it was in this thread or another, but I said that I found the ending to Grandia satisfying.

I suppose the Fable endings were alright, not the best endings though.
And can someone remind me what happened in the ending of Majora's mask?
The Skull Kid and the faries became friends again, the mask shop owner got Majora's Mask back and Link and his horse went off.
