well let's see here...ummm well the biggest thing is that rape is forcing someone to have sex against their will. not to mention that it is sick, and that it is illegal, and people can spend serious time in jail for that. people who are rapist may do this for multiple reasons. they have a bad sex life, want to feel good about themselves, childhood, uncontrolable urges, etc. people shouldn't be forced to do things like that if they don't want to. that's one of the bases of why i want to be a D.A. and that is mainly what SVU is about.

Well seeing how it is a social norm in many societies that it is, then perhaps the question should be WHY is rape wrong.

So? There was still an explanation, was there not? Yes. Hence my saying that anyone not understanding the thread post-explanation was stupid. People coming in at the last page and assuming what the thread is about, are stupid. That's the beauty of threads like this, stupid people just make themselves look more stupid. At least those who disagreed also contributed.

The point is that you have the ability to read the posts or ask what he meant. If you had done either, as some people did (and shock horror, he explained) then there would be no misunderstandings.

If you're unsure, ask. Don't assume.

The thread title is "Is rape wrong" and the first post says "Well?" it's absolutley logical to act the way most members acted.

Maybe people should simply learn to use their brains and think instead of jumping to the obvious conclusion.

Not after the explanation it isn't. Which is when most of the idiots arrived.

It happened before with his U.F.O thread. There were two "idiot disclaimer" notes in the first post a long with an explanation of what the thread was REALLY about. People still managed to get it wrong a few PAGES in.

There's no preparation for idiots, nor should someone have to cater to them.
