Too bad we cant jam, and their commlink net is pretty secure so hacking is out of the question. we need a solid upper hand and i vote misinformation and deception, make them think we're in one place while in another, 'make 'em watch this hand while you use the other...'. Guerilla warfare relies heavily upon luck and we may need just a little more than outstanding luck...
I just had an idea;
Ush, you said to stay around the comms area, right?
We could steal some stormtrooper ID numbers and file false reports to lead the Imperials away from our position (as well as their uniforms, if possible that is...)
The shopping list I have been presented (courtesy of Fire, so thank him) already includes the very useful idea of trying to tap into their comms to hear them. This will require Fix-It to pull off but it IS feasible.
This whole area of guerilla tactics and what will or will not work is a good thing to ask your contacts.
Well, Eerin will tell Odrus that they are making an effort to stop the Imperial war machine before they reach the city using guerilla warfare, and give him the sheer numbers of stormtroopers and machines in the war machine (if we have those statistics, if not, we should find them), and that we intend to cut off their communications to one another somehow.
K since we can't make out a total plan yet, need the info Eerin will get for that I'll just post some ideas based on the character sheets provided by you people.
A) Scarlet has the highest fix-it skill so it'd be best if she does the tapping into comms. Since we do not know the situation I will post two possibilities
A.1) It is in a safe and secure location that she can tap in: no backup required
A.2) It is in an unsafe location: backup required, U'Ya And Rhys (both have a good gun score and a good fix-it)
B) If the city shield falls (Better say when)
B.1) We have a place to set up Heavy Weapons and ambush some ST's: Eerin and Kai with appropriate backup
B.2) We have no place to set up Heavy Weapons: Guerrilla tactics and fighting a mobile battle, a tight group with one or two spotters (ppl who feel up for it and preferably have observation and intrusion) who take point
Again folks these are just floating ideas, knowing ush a whole lot will change once we have more info.
To all those for who this is the first of ush his games:
- Think before you do something
- Listen to your team members, sometimes someone else just knows better (more experience in the field)
- Don't become over confident
- Stick to a plan and do as you are told
Fire's summary looks pretty good. I hope Ush doesn't shoot down too much of it.
And for the love of gawd, do not do anything stupid without consulting team members first.
At the very least, BB and I have a lot of experience with Ush's games, (I know others do, but BB is the only one that I can think of off the top of my head), and we have a pretty good grasp on how things work in Ush's dangerously ironic galaxy.
Only other thing I can think to say is this: Always expect that the worst possibility that could result from your actions is the only possibility. That is generally the way things work when Ush GM's.
Jazz, I think it is safe to assume that that goes for Jedi players as well, by now... 😛
Looks great, Fire. Galahad suggests a mobile battle, himself, and would like to see what Eerin's ally thinks of our plan.
Meanwhile, Galahad would like to call a meeting with his companions in this group. Any appropriate private places to meet on this asteroid, Ush?
maybe we should have two levels of attack,
Start in the forest, and then fall back to the city, so we are harrassing them the entire way...
Having a map of the area would help.......
We might wanna look into that when we get there.
That would be something us Aces could do, arial recon. No fighting but just flying around looking at stuff.
