(Good and Bad all at the same time. Oh well, it was an idea. So since time is running down and I don't think we've actually done anything yet Kyle will get to work.
We've thrown around ideas, but no one has set anything in motion or made any decisions really. So I'll take the initiative, if it's not cool with someone, they can take over. But we are loosing all kinds of time talking. So.)
Kyle sees that his plan isn't going to work out, there's just not enough time.
"Well, at least we aren't losing the ship. Heh, as long as we survive, that is." He motions for Eerin to follow him, and starts walking back to their skiff. "We need to start doing something to get ready. I'm going to tell Galahad to get Drakkon or whoever in gear on spreading out the goodies we brought. You and I are going outside the city with the mines. Since we can't cover the walls with them, let's cover the approaches.
We'll start about a quarter click from the enterance that we know was facing the Imperial camp. That's where the most of the mines will get planted. We'll save a few for the approaches to the other enterances to try to give us a warning of a flank attack."
He grabs his comm.
"Galahad, let's get going on getting the stuff passed out to everyone. Eerin and I are going to plant the mines. Get everyone to work on something, we don't have a lot of time before the whole thing goes to hell."
Someone had to give him that information, and who knew better than Sartorus, who conveniently was raised to the Council of Mandragos just before leaving and just before the Commissar made this visit?
"We have a traitor in the Senatorial Mission," Galahad snarls, bitterly. "Senator Sartorus betrayed your world for political power. That fool!"

Instead of the Last Laugh, maybe you could use the Black Dawn for that purpose?
(Hey, every little bit helps, right? So, how open is the main route up to the gates? i though this was mostly jungle, or is there significant clearing around the city? Anyhow, we can't mine the city, they won't cover the walls, so yeah it's the best I can come up with. How are we coming with getting the rest of the stuff distributed?
I agree with Rhys, someone needs to watch that thing. It doesn't have to be all of us for sure, just Rhys and perhaps a few Osokan guards to help him.)
(I guess that keeps the wildlife from lurking around the city.
Well, I think we'll make our best guess and group all the mines directly in line with the main enterance to the city and the direction to the Imperial camp. Let's place then out a little farther then whatever would be their effective range so they don't harm us or the walls, but close enough that anyone attacking near the main enterance might get caught in them. To get a little more anal about it, we should try to space them far enough apart that they don't set each other off. -I got that off the History channel 😉
Other than that, I'm not sure what else we can do. So now someone else needs to come up with something clever. )
Hey, I have an idea.
And I feel stupid for not thinking about this earlier..
Why don't we start attacking in the jungle?
The osokans know it really well, and I'm sure it won't be hard for us to convince them to launch raids on the advancing army.
Why should we let them come to us? Lets fight them on our own terms!
Indeed, let them come to us. If we leave the shield, we're mincemeat for their walkers.
How much space is between the shield and the wall, then, if it's a good mile between the wall and the jungle?
Also, in the event that the stormtroopers try to scale the wall, do the Osokans have something we could use in the fashion of burning oil? It's hard to climb a wall that's slick and on fire...
(I think we just need to be ready to react to the attack. We all start out on the walls, burn down anything that gets too close. We fall back if/when we have to. Another thing, once the army comes out of the jungle, we'll know where they're going to concentrate their attack. We will need most everyone with a gun there. Let's not forget about possible flank or rear attacks. There should be scouts all along the walls that can warn about any surprises. So we should be prepared to get mobile if we have to. Let's have all the skiff we can get parked nearby so we can relocate some of our forces to counter any secondary attacks.)
