USH'S ORIGINAL TRILOGY GAME EPISODE I 'LANZAR'- Rebel Alliance Thread

Well, if they plan to attack with the artillery, it's probably pretty pointless to sit near the generator expecting an attack from within the city.

Should Rhys head up to the wall?

You could always join us! 😛

Scarlet, 'twas the "statwise similar to Cass' fighter" that did it. tpt wanted a very light and fast fighter, so it had no payload option.

I'll allow a re-design if you want; just take another look at the options two or three pages before the link you gave.

Eerin's assessment seems very reasonable. Within the shield, the artillery could shell the arera around the generator until it blows.

But to destroy the personnel would mean going out and attacking it. Which once more gives the Imperials what they want- you leaving the walls.

Well, we have the sniper rifles and blasters, can't we shoot the stormtroopers manning the artillery pieces?

The mortars, maybe. The others are self-propelled and fired from inside.

Ah, I thought that's what did it.

Cass's ship is a Light Fighter, right? Scarlet's ship will be a Fighter, then, with as many torpedos as she can possibly pack...

Si your bonus going to be in payload?

Okay, so the mortars will be taken care of a lot easier than the others...

I know that the artillery would beat the catapults any day, but the catapults could short out the self-propelled pieces, right?

They aren't exactly precision weapons, you know.

It;s also worth noting you will betray their presence before the battle starts this way.

We definitely don't want to do that.

Can they be disabled by Eerin's rocket launcher?

He's one man; it's difficult to make a difference strategically.

Also he'll have half the army firing at him as soon as they clock the threat.

Would Galahad's Warfare skill be of any help sussing how we can at least attempt to tackle the problem of artillery?

The Imperial Army opnly has one vulnneraiblity as it stands.

The incompetence of the stormtroopers? Or something else?

That's adjusted for by numbers. I meant this particular army.

We're all dying to know what it is so that we don't die horribly painful deaths, so let's hear it!

You already know it. It's not a riddle.

Its being controlled not by the all powerful Ush, but by incompetent darkies?

Well, that IS a good point.

But no, we were just talking about this earlier.

Is it relevant to the fact that they can't get their walkers and machines inside the City, due to the narrow streets? It would become a matter of how well the Stormtroopers and Osokans could fair against each other, rather than how well the Imperials can use their technology to their advantage.
