Can we use a torp or something to take them out?
Just to cut them down?
But anyway.
I will hunt one of the ties.

A torpedo against a TIE Fighter? You;ve seen how those targetting computers work.

"Right, just stay in the same place for about thirty seconds, would you?"

And just before we move on- we now have an upcoming event. The tw TIE squadrons defending the SDs are now moving down.

It's worth nothing that if they are destroyed the SDs will have no cover available.

"Hey Rhys, how about we break off a sec and help Cass clear out those TIE's? Let Scarlet handle the bombing for a while. If we clean out the TIE's, we can finish off the arty and go for the Destroyers themselves. Eerin and his boys can handle the assault as long as we clear out the artillery. If we can wreck a Destroyer, that'll really have an impact on their whole army. And the Rebellion."

"I'm in agreement with that," Scarlet says. "We need to take out those artillery units, but we can't do that if we get shot down. Just keep them off me and I'll do the best I can."

Can Rhys still make a bombing run with Scarlet before the 24 TIEs arrive?

It will be a turn before the orbital TIEs get there, btw.

Alright, so Rhys and Scarlet should go on that last bombing run together before Rhys/Kyle and Cass go fight the TIEs off.

Shit.
No, we need to kill the artillery.
Use luck points.
Take an artillery apiece. Lets blow this shit up.

I don't even remember how much fortune I have...

Seriously, though, look at the numbers. B's not even at half damage, and C's untouched. Even using fortune, I don't think a single shot's going to be destroying either one, especially with the effective armor rating of 6.

Not to mention (if I have any left) I'd like some Fortune in case I have to pull a Kyle...

(Yeah, let's spend the one round we have all concentrating on unit B. When the TIE's actually become a problem then we can deal with them. Sound good?)

Cass brings down a TIE in his own imitable style. Then, rolling a 20, Kyle bullseyes one of them as well. The other one misses, so a bit of a cock-up all around, really.

Direct hits! But not quite a kill...

Incoming! And the Squadron Leader is with this lot.

-----

ARTILLERY ASSAULT

Black Dawn: 21

Tip of the Lance: 7

RFT: 0

Artillery Unit B: 18

AT-ST units x8: 0

Artillery Unit C: 0

AT-ST units x8: 0

TIEs x24: 2

TIE Squadron Leader: 0

(OOOH! Squadron Leader. Let's make sure we get him! Do we think it's safe to let Scarlet continue to bomb whille we play with the TIE's? Or should we all break off the bombing runs? I think timing is becomming really important though, how long 'till the arty units enter the shield?)

After this run, perhaps Scarlet should join you guys in TIE fighting. 24 TIEs and the Squadron Leader are quite a bit of trouble!

Scarlet ignores the sensors blaring warnings of incoming TIEs and makes one last bombing run on Artillery Unit B.

Rhys winces as alarms come on to signal the dangerously low shields.

"Take it out with one shot, Scarlet!" he yells as he swings the Dawn around to meet the incoming TIEs.

Squadron leader's obviously dangerous. Shall we all engage the leader to get him out of the running as soon as possible, or does Cass take to him personally as Rhys and Kyle clear basic TIEs?

You guys handle the basic ties.
I'll hunt the squadron leader

Squadron Leader will likely cover himself using his TIEs. If he dogfights you cannot target him.

Take out his TIEs, then.

Remember that you guys can Evade. I'll join you as soon as Unit B is gone.

Cass, might be nice for you to Escort me. I'm at about half of what the Dawn can take, so...

Anyway, Dogfighting.

Rhys slides the torpedo command pad to the side and primes his blaster cannons. "Kyle, shoot at anything you can. We're not doing that hot, so we need to get this done fast, or my baby'll be going the way of yours."

With that, he fires at the swarm of TIEs.

"Well, then we're really in trouble, 'cause I thought she was halfway there when we took off. Seriously, though, let's do the damage we can, then break off. Our little group doesn't need to loose another ship. If we can hold them off at least long enough for Scarlet to finish off this set of artillery, I'd say this flight was worth it."

The Duchess watches tentatively from the Guild Hall's sensors room.

"Come on..." she quietly roots. "You have to take it out."

Quiock question- if the Squadron Leader Hunted, therefore losing his immunity, would any of you Hunt him in return?
