USH'S ORIGINAL TRILOGY GAME EPISODE I 'LANZAR'- Rebel Alliance Thread

Started by Bespin Bart280 pages

Eerin watches as the battle becomes one of air superiority, leaning against the embattlements.

The Dawn almost seems to growl at Rhys.

"No need for a tantrum now, hon. Kyle, my ship says you're letting her paint get scratched off!" He says, blasting away at another TIE.

Dogfighting for now, but could you explain how Evading works?

It means you get no attack but are harder to hit.

That'd be nifty for staying unhit but letting us take care of your problems, eh? 😛

If Rhys Evades, can Kyle still attack?

Yes but at a disadvantage.

Another question, but for Escorting, do you attack the TIEs attacking the person you're escorting before they get a chance to fire?

(Kyle will take any opportunity to fire, no matter the odds.)

Dawn Evades this turn, seems to do a good job of it. Its turret fire damages, though does not destroy, a TIE. Scarlet gets a kill but also some hits.

12 from Cass, 10 from Ulrand. Ulrand misses dur to Cass' skill, Cass misses due to the two point difficulty in hitting a TIE. Warming up though.

Three more TIEs have arrived from outside. These ones have come in low, skimming the trees, presumably because they have heard a better report of the situation and came into surprise the torpedo firers. Lacking any such firers, they will head up to attack the Rebels in the air.

Change of tactic here. Cass, the newly arrived TIEs are going to Hunt you.

"Blow them apart!" Scarlet shouts, making another pass on the TIEs.

(Dogfighting)

"You're a very violent young woman..."

Evading. Shoot well, Kyle.

"Yeah, I don't know whether to be impressed or scared. At least she's on our side!"

"I'm a pirate, what'd you expect?"

"Decency, poise, good breeding, and a vocabulary cleaner than a Coruscant walkway," Rhys replies promptly.

"Aren't all piratesses like that?"

"Rhys, if only your wit could cut the Imperials."

Waiting on Cass.

Talking of which, the Squadron leader, in turn, has broken off the Hunt and is targetting... well, one of the other two. We're not quite sure.

Please be the Lance, please be the Lance, please be the Lance, please be the Lance...

...sorry, Scarlet. ermm

You're more damaged, it'll probably be you. ermm

I'll hunt the ties back...

Kyle damages another TIE with turret fire; cannot seem to hammer that kill. Dawn is evading again, becoming rather hard to hit at the expense of making direct attacks.

The TIE Squadron leader seems momentarily confused by eventa and ends up dogfighting. Rsndom target is... Dawn. a 15 is a good roll and a definite hit. Can't shake that bastard, Rhys!

Seven attacks each from TIEs on the rest of the Rebels; not much to speak of, some light hits on the Lance.

Cass, you end up duelling the lead of the three TIEs attacking you. Despite the bonus to hit people are getting on you, there are no real hits from most of the attackers, including the two wingmen.

You roll a 12, well clear of the... well... two that you normally need for a hit, as once more you lock onto a TIE for the kill shot.

You are rather surprised when the TIE rotates at the exact moment of firing, seeing your shots pass between its wings.

You are even more surprised when it rolls an 11 in return, enough to damage you with an Outcome of three. Green laser blasts tear into your shields.

The main problem here being that your foe in that TIE has a Pilot score of 17.

Scarlet gets a kill.
