If Cass escorts Rhys, will he be able to attack every TIE that attacks Rhys?

So switch off or whatever, but keep on them.

When two targets hunt each other, it becomes a Duel, which can stay locked in for as long as you desire.

If the artillery is not attacked, the STs will not fire; it can be an all-air combat.

But we might not be able to take out all of the TIEs
And if its all Air combat, the artillery will keep moving right?

(About how long do we judge to have before the artilley is inside the shield, and therefore out of our range?)

Longer than you could reasonably need in this fight.

(Oh, ok. Then let's all go after the TIE's. We clean them up then get back to the Artillery. Just fight smart and watch the damage.)

Meanwhile, the others are on form- Kyle, Rhys and Scarlet all destroy foes. However, the arrival of another three TIEs from elsewhere on the planet evens things up again, though these fighters are not from the blockade.

In any case, all of you get seven attackers each. Cass, they are on +1 to hit you, focusses as you are on your duel.

Not great rolling from the TIEs...

Is it possible to pull off that trick where you shoot one TIE and it collides with another, taking them both out?
