The Duchess sighs after all that has happened to them.

"I hope we win this, for my sake if no other reason. Come, Ranad."

Sasha will get to the wall with her bodyguard.

I suspect we are just going to have to let this one play out; even inside the shield, the artillery units are very well protected.

"Zalandos, you have been a faithful friend to me," Galahad says. "You have done your duties well. May your skills serve you well in this war. Go with the Duchess, protect her."

Galahad pats him on the shoulder, then turns back to Drakkon and company.

"How long will it take the artillery to destroy the shield generator?" Galahad asks, grimly.

Eerin glares at the artillery units bitterly, then fixes his aim on a group of stormtroopers. He lifts his rocket launcher into position, ready to fire.

"[It's a good day to die]," Eerin mutters, quietly.

Beats me, but better than not asking.

"I understand, Kyle. Might be mine, though." Rhys winks.

"Too bad we couldn't talk this out like civilized beings... Actual ground battle's not exactly my forte..."

Eerin patiently waits for his compatriots.

STRATEGIC PLANNING PHASE

As the sholed now seems ineitable to fall, the final battle will soon commence, and we shall prepare for this most mighty of engagements step by step.

First choice for you- strategic or tactical?

Some people are involved strategcially- you confer on movements each turn, pull off any special effects you can manage (for example, Star Destroyer bombardment), and watch the results. It is possible fgor a strategic player to be caught up in fights- most likely a General- but it is not their general purpose.

Some people are involved tactically. You chose where you are alone (possibly under orders), and take part in fights based upon your location in the battle.

Now, unlike the Imperials, you guys are entirely free to choose which of the two you want to be (strategic planning must be done from the Guild Hall).

You can even swap mid-battle, but it's best to give us a default of what you will be.

So, let's hear what each of you wants to be!

The Duchess will remain strategic. She's not much good in a fight.

She will send Ranad to be part of the tactical effort.

Galahad is strategic, of course. He will send Zalandos with the tactical crew.

(No brainer. Tactical.)

I'm thinking tactical.

Unless I am needed as a Pilot, I'm really not too great in a fight, so unless there is an objection, I'll go Strategic, But I may switch.

Just a pause here whilst the Imps go through a cock-up they have made.
